Always just thought it was part of the performance of art and pop during the AP era.  ASIB has brought out her more authentic self, I feel.  I also think like she was pretty true to herself in AP with opening up via Mary Jane Holland, Swine, Gypsy, Dope and so forth.  However, I'm always here for a turn back to the rad, weird concepts/personas.  Combine art and pop, making pop "ugly" (like the Fame Monster), or how BTW was a record about "what keeps us up at night."   :diane:

Fun fact: I had to clean her makeup off of that outfit!

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I had an Internship at the designer of the outfit. When it got sent back it came back covered around the neckline with her makeup and it was a nightmare to get off as it couldn’t be dry cleaned because it was far to delicate. :huntyga:

I've been on this forum since 2012 and I remember exactly when this interview aired. Everybody LOVED it and was CRAZY for it. People on here were all like "YAS, the old GAGA is back!!!!1!!1".

Funny to see that most people find the interview annoying or fake 5 years later. Goes to show how we accept the toned down, serious Gaga.

You really don’t get what I’m saying, do you? If she were speaking in a baby voice, she would be speaking in the fifth octave. She’s speaking in the low fourth octave/high third octave here. That’s healthy for her voice. And I have proof of it here.

It definitely requires an understanding of vocal terminology and music theory. Needless to say, Gaga’s speaking voice habits are way too low in relation to her voice type. Just because you are used to hearing her in a certain tone and pitch, doesn’t mean that it is natural and healthy for her. If she had never done cocaine, cigarettes, and marijuana, she would sound unrecognizable from today. Age does very little to change the voice.

She clearly used to talk in a higher pitch to sound more girly and sweet. I know girls who do this. People judge girls on how high their voices are as high voices are seen as more feminine. The sad twist is they are taken less seriously too the higher the voice. Which is why people like Margaret Thatcher took training to lower her voice. Yes smoking probably did slightly lower her voice. But not immensely. She wouldn't be able to sing the way she does if that were true. You can tell in earlier videos she puts on a cute young voice.

Yikes. She's clearly uncomfortable emotionally with something in her life at that point. I can't believe how far she's come.

That sounds inevitable, it even happens to my tshirts, I can't imagine what would happen to a dress like this. I remember a designer complaining she got the panties Gaga wore in Applause back 'dirty', which is also pretty unevitable. I guess her team rather sents back things dirty then spent time cleaning it themselves and risk ruining it in the process. So cool you worked there around that time!

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

As some of you guys are saying, she doesn't look comfortable here but it's alright she has come far and you can clearly see she is happier and stronger than ever. I'm proud of her. Just look at her recent interview, she is just being herself and so funny. I don't miss the old Gaga at all :ohwell:

It's hard to believe that within the same couple months she also gave us that super serious "Inam an artist, here's a history lesson in art" interview in the UK. The one where she had her natural hair and barely spoke, talked very slowly when she did speak. What a difference. She's always been acting lol

That one may be my very favorite Gaga interview of all time lol she was SO DEEPLY in character, channeling Marina Abramovic :flutter:
