He misspoke after misunderstanding something he read, and apologized immediately after. We’re all humans, we all say ignorant things we regret. Was this a bad mistake? Yes, but he had no bad intentions and owned up to his mistake, that’s all we can ask. We can’t hold grudges every time someone misspeaks. I moved on from it immediately. I just read through comments and everyone is joking about the fact that he won over Gaga. In terms of that, I feel like Gaga is an honorary winner from that year because she gave a memorable iconic performance.
