Gaga and Fiancé Have Split, PEOPLE Confirms

I feel terrible for both Gaga and Christian. 

It's sad that Gaga has lost another partner (regardless of whether or not this was her decision), and it's sad for Christian to lose the woman who, I believe, he thought was his soulmate. This is a man who treated Gaga, at least publicly, in an incredibly loving and awe-struck way. Look at his Instagram... he was totally in love.

I don't blame Gaga, though. She can't be with someone who she doesn't truly love - and I think it is quite clear that she chose to call things off here. I don't want to get into the tabloid frenzy surrounding Bradley and Gaga, but I do think their friendship has a lot to do with this break-up. 

Lovers or not, I think Gaga's feelings for Bradley (which are beyond evident at this point) - when compared to her feelings for Christian - probably proved to her that she didn't love him in the way she knew she should. I think, personally, she loved Christian for his kindness, understanding and security... which, of course, are all key to a relationship - but there has to be more. If you're with someone solely for the purposes of security and convenience, it isn't going to work. And I think Gaga knew that. 

She needs someone who is right and wrong all at the same time. I think Christian was possibly just too 'right' for her. I mean, we know from her music that she craves a wild man. And she has yet to find one who will strike that balance... or maybe she has, but now is not the right time for reasons we know.

I do believe that Bradley would be the right one for Gaga. They have a chemistry that is so rare. And the thing is, Bradley is so right... but also just so wrong. I mean, it would be a real shame for Bradley to split with his partner, particularly when they have just had a child together. But who knows. I think Gaga needs - as morbid as it sounds - a little danger in her love life. She seems to crave it.

OTOH, he gave us a solid inside look at Gaga in personal moments. I am conflicted. I did not enjoy seeing them in public together (just did not fit), but definitely enjoyed the images he posted.

Relationships ending always hurt, even if you are the one that instigates the break-up.   I just want Gaga to find a stable relationship and to have the family that she clearly wants.

Like I’ve said before, the press took it and ran with it and they never corrected it. Probably because she didn’t want him to look like a chooch.

I can't believe I just read all 17 pages of this thread.  Whatever happened, I wish them both well.  If it's with someone or by themselves.  I do hope Gaga is able to have her family and children she wishes for (if she still wishes for them).  But she still has some time for this.

This is very well written.  I broke it off with my boyfriend of 12 years (after coming to terms it was an abusive relationship), but I still had to grieve through it.  Your lives become so intertwined, you have to figure out a whole sense of normal. While you still have friends and family to help, there is still a loneliness that comes no matter who did the break up.
