If anything a performance at the Grammys right before the Oscar voting opens will HELP Shallow’s chances in Original Song, specially if it wins something big like SOTY.

The Oscars are produced by literally two people, and they can’t even get “mad” according to this nonsense theory some of you have because they still got Gaga and Bradley performing TOGETHER at their ceremony. That’s the exclusivity. The Academy as a whole has over 6,000 members, and they don’t care about any of this nonexistent drama about Shallow being performed first at another awards show.

FYI: This year’s Oscars are being produced by Donna Gigliotti and Glenn Weiss (who are probably being helped by a lot of ABC people, who are NOT Oscars voters).

Chained to the Rhythm was big everywhere, peaking at No. 4 in the States, which is higher than Shallow. Please stop this nonsense, I can understand not thinking Camila Cabello is A-list, but Katy is literally one of the best selling musicians in history. She will be A-list for the next 10 years regardless of where singles peak, just like Gaga.

But I never argued that. I agreed with everyone besides Camila because she hadn't made any real impact and if you ask people on the street nobody would recognize her songs. Camila isn't an A-lister. Dua also isn't an A-lister. Miley, Katy and all those other people are.

Agree , all these have had impact over several years, have fans of all ages and have some more talent then just recording songs and see them become streaming hits. Alot of the other grammy performances this year might have huge smash hits but they are mostly known with teens/young adults, don't really have any performing skills and haven't been in the industry long enough to be called A-listers tbh.

A list does not go from selling a two 6M+ singles in US to just barely scrapping 1M+ from their latest effort.

A list does not turn into a comedian joke on American Idol show.

A list does not try to venture into shoe making career option with one of the, perhaps arguably, worst design ever seen.

You are the one who's being nonsense about this. In what universe is JLO a A-list when her album couldn't sell much in digital peak era nor did it make any impact? Either in movie too? She's a good performer, but that's all.

Yeah. I wouldn’t have considered Gaga an A-lister at the 2010 Grammys, for example.
