It's hard not to get heated up when people like you use selective data or arguments to make your incorrect case.  But yeah, I guess I can't call a Trump sympathizer thick while he continues to act like he cares about racism but only when it's from a Dem (who the Dems are criticizing).

Byrd shared his history with the KKK before he ran for the Senate. People voted on him knowing that he left it behind a decade earlier.

If Northam had shared this photo and apologized before the election, he would be in a different situation right now.

Well first off it was no doubt Sen. Robert Byrd was part of the KKK which it in itself was despicable and disgusting as Ralph Northam before you try to come for me for excusing the left and cancelling the right 

however Robert Byrd left the KKK in the 1940s: “I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times … and I don’t mind apologizing over and over again. I can’t erase what happened.”
