Suspiria 10,683 Posted January 27, 2019 Share Posted January 27, 2019 So on the Enigma stage there's that big oval thing... it comes and goes throughout the show, but doesn't seem to serve any purpose. It doesn't really frame anything (the interludes don't seem to be made with it in mind). And it doesn't have any lights on it or anything, nor is it used as a prop. What's it there for? It frames the Enigma character nicely and allows Gaga to communicate with her in a visually more appealing way than simply talking to a flat screen. I noticed that in the beginning while the crowds gather for the show this light orb thing floats around within this structure but never goes beyond it (at least that's what I've seen) so I do think it has a special visual function. It's also possible we have to think of it as the shape of an eye (could be intentional to rile up the Illuminati theories again), look at that left edge for example, that seems to be there to remind us of an eye shape.
