Mirages 20,259 Posted January 21, 2019 Share Posted January 21, 2019 I just thought about how I imagined Enigma and Jazz & Piano Show would look like and how different my imagination was from the actual shows. So my questions for you are: What's one thing you expected would be at Enigma and J&P and it didn't materialised at the shows? And what is one thing you didn't expect Gaga would do for the shows? I'll start. Enigma Expected: I thought Gaga was gonna rework all the instrumentals for the songs she plays so that they would feel different than studio or older live version, have a new feeling and would blend together nicely so the show's sound would be coherent and it would be something new for fans even though no new music was released. Unexpected: That wig and cheap neon outfits I mean I thought it was gonna be al glamour and ****. But it does set her apart from other Vegas performers, so good for her Jazz & Piano Expected: More jazz covers of her hits than just 4, I honestly though she'd do Applause, Yoü and I and The Edge of Glory at least. Unexpected: So much new jazz covers from other artists that we didn't hear that totally slayed me and have me hoping for another jazz album. For the Jazz and Piano show, I expected her to do WAYY more piano songs. Don't get me wrong, I love her jazz covers, but I think she should've added more ballads like TEOG, MR and You and I. Ugh that one slayed me for days I need a studio version. Its interesting to see I wasn't the only one who expected more of Gaga's hits for the J&P... Bok 267 Posted January 21, 2019 Share Posted January 21, 2019 For Enigma, I was expecting her to really value the fact that show will not be touring and stable which means more tech, more props and bigger production but the production value is exactly the same as her other shows. Also I completely agree on the songs' production, a lot of artist change their songs' on tours to make them sound refreshed. Like, people are so hyped bout Paparazzi's Jazz version. For J&P, better decor for sure. There are creative ideas that could be developed further to make it look more classy and top notch. Based off of her rehearsal videos i was getting these really cool visions of her focusing more on like playing instruments and the overal show feeling more like some edm/techno concert with tons of synths and cool visuals...heavy metal lover vibes... I was was not expecting the Katy perry-level outfits and overall lack of “fashion”...
