Bebe Rexha: designers won’t dress her, “too big”

Im pretty sure Christian Cowan would love to dress her. (Gaga has worn him several times). She must be contacting the wrong designers. Eg. Chanel etc. We all know how snobbish these things are.

This reminds me of when Christina Hendricks had trouble getting dresses for big events back when she was attending awards shows for Mad Men. I think she was a size 8 too, and I think a lot of designers just didn't know what to do about her body shape, which is ridiculous. Luckily Christian Siriano was one of the few that would give her dresses to wear. He even said she put him on the map, so it was mutually fruitful. If these designers would remove the huge stick up their anuses and stop worrying about perception they'd probably rack up a lot of good promo. 

Also, while Bebe is not a huge name, there's plenty of tiny no1curr actresses and professional red carpet walkers who somehow get the big designer hookup.

I can't believe so many people here think it's LUDICROUS that designers would turn her down because of her size.  Of course her status comes into play, if she was a bigger star she'd get more designers offering to dress her but it's not unbelievable at all that some have turned her down due to her being size 8.

She’s not entitled to a free dress. Bigger more famous people have gotten dresses. She’s not that popular so designers are not going to go out of their way for her and tailor a bigger dress. She makes more money than us anyway, she can easily buy or rent one.

Reminds me of this photo a couple years ago of Victoria Secret models. Victoria Secret actually told model Candice Swanepoel that she had to put on weight or lose her contract.

They don’t think she’s worth the time or resources to redesign/modify a dress to fit her. Simple as that.  I obviously think that is horrible and that the fashion industry is out of touch with reality. However, I don’t believe her being a size 8 is the only issue. In their minds, she’s not a big enough star to wear their clothing.

This sounds fishy. I love Bebe (a lot, both as a person and her music) but I honestly feel something is up with these designers cause like I'm sure Nicki is thicker but is constantly in custom designer.

Celebs don’t keep their red carpet outfits. They’re lent them. Once the moment is over they hand them back to the designer and that’s it.

Gosh. I love the fact that she's always honest and straightforward and speaks her mind. And talking about her situation, it's just f*cking f*cked up. And it's Bebe Rexha after all, she's not a "nobody".
