MrDarkGa 311 Posted January 18, 2019 Share Posted January 18, 2019 I feel that since Cheek to Cheek and her rebrand she has switched her work ethic to release music and art when it feels right for her - not to meet anyone else's expectations, be that her label or us fans. Her recent albums may not be drowning in awards trophies, but as she said on Ellen; "the true reward is in the work." I don't think she cares TOO much about commercial sucess these days and puts out stuff she has all of her faith in, which is very likely a much healthier mindset for her to be in. She's not rihanna or beyonce so what u're talking about ? That also means she's written A LOT of songs that she deems bad/unfit for release.
