Conservative Mom 655
3 minutes ago, Red said: I get the internet argument but elder people don’t use internet a lot. My grandparents know Madonna and Michal, never heard of Gaga. (Maybe they heard about Judas but if I go to my grandma and ask who Lady Gaga is she won’t know) My asian grandparents never heard about Beatles or Elvis (or at least at 1960s) as most western grandparents did. But Internet changed the situation. ppl from 5-55 or even older heard something about lady gaga even just 1 time at 2010s, she actually have this benefit Suburban Dweller, Property Owner, Petrol Consumer and Range Shooting Enjoyer

RAMROD 102,137
Probably about that number. Not counting the casual fans and stans who only keep it to themselves and not joining any online forums etc. 5 minutes ago, MissWing said: My asian grandparents never heard about Beatles or Elvis (or at least at 1960s) I think social status and where they came from are also crucial. Because many Asian grandparents, most are well educated higher class, does know about Rock n Roll and even adapting it locally since they have access to the Western world. If you go by sales, it's a lot less. Stans often buy multiple copies just to support her. And people they gift to probably aren't stans. And many people who buy her material aren't really stans either. I live outside the space time continuum.
Infinity Wave 7,633
If you mean stans, I actually don't know what to asnwer. We should start from how many users are there on this site, because 90% are here because they're Gaga stans and since nowadays a phone and internet connection are available to almosr everyone who cares about music in the civilized world, we could make assumption on how maby stans there are. Anyway, stans =/= fan who buy her music cuz many of us here do not so... I'd say about 2 billion has heard about her but that doesn't mean they've ever even just seen her. A bit off topic but it reminds me of how I grew hearing about Madonna but only listened to one of her songs (Like A Prayer) and saw her face when I was around 9 years old If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
