She's garnered GP attention back on her again after the slump that was Joanne. She's critically and commercially adored again. This is literally the perfect time for her to release new music in the vein of 'The Cure' and score a hit. No more Perfect Illusion garbage, just straight up refreshing pop music and continuing her legacy as a pop legend. The Vegas residency seems like a huge mistake now, rooting her to Vegas where only a privileged few can see her (I will be devastated if she stays there for another 2-3 years like she's claimed because that's selfish on her poorer, less privileged fans who can't travel all the way to Vegas to see her). From the way I see it, they were not expecting the exploding acclaim of ASIB and had the residency as a backup in case everything went up in flames. Enigma seems like a huge mistake now. It's almost like a greatest hits show, or the kind of thing you would expect at the end of a career. BUT she designed it and she loves it. It's about her doing what she wants. So as long anything that makes her happy and is what she wants is NOT a mistake. To me it's just noise, and apparently the GP felt the same way considering its chart positions. The Cure is the direction she needs to walk towards because the GP loved that song (it went top 20 in the UK with no promo and my friends and I heard it in the clubs here all the time).
