This is how I see it. When I think Ally I think someone who goes out of their way to help a cause, by donating, attending marches, giving a voice to the communtiy through social media.

No shade intended, but I think you might be mixing up word definitions a bit. An ally is just somebody who gives basic support and that you could rely on to shut down homophobic abuse/violence in public, an activist is somebody who is giving a voice to the community, donates and marches for our rights.

You can be an ally in small ways.

Like when i was in high school (2006-2010) and views on gays were more small minded than they are now, I viewed my friends as an ally cuz they supported me and stuck up for me.

So to just come out and say your dream is not to become an ally just sounds questionable.

No one is saying he has to be Lady Gaga, but will he stick up for LGBT people when he sees injustice?

I just really want Ricky Gervais to host the Oscars. Unfortunately, his mouth is too “controversial” for the Oscars brand.. Whatever that means.

the sad part about this is he obviously really couldn’t give 2 fks about the LGBTQ+ community’s thoughts because THEY’RE NOT HIS TARGET AUDIENCE. he’s saying all these because he is catering to his target audience, AKA homophobic african american people

good luck to his box office poison ass

You don't have such strong opinions about things you don't care about, and he sure does seem to be SO bothered by this. In his own words, "take this however you want". :vegas:

The show host said that, not Kevin

But I don't think you would joke about cancer in the first place, so nobody would expect that you publicly show support to that cause :huntyga:

If I’m being honest, I’ve made jokes about a vast number of taboo topics. None of which I’ll disclose in here (mainly because everything is offensive nowadays). Kevin’s jokes were in bad taste, definitely, but this statement is really up for interpretation.

Well just like OP may have mixed up the definitions, Kevin Hart May not understand either. I’m in no way supporting his jokes (which weren’t funny to begin with and were in bad taste) but this statement isn’t exactly all one sided. We have to “take it as we will”
