IMO these sorts of laws are pointless virtue signaling if not accompanied by sweeping legislation to ensure QUALITY OF LIFE for the animals, during their year of existence before the moment they are slaughtered.

Laws in favour for human rights, animals rights, ethics and morals should be held above religion imo

Good thing. Religion is not valid when it comes to laws.

I mean, idk what the non-halal typical ways are, but it's not great to be killed by having your neck sliced open and being allowed to bleed to death.

Belgium has "good" killing metods. I mean, it's controlled and everything.

So it makes sense they banned it.

They practicaly cut their throat in half with a huge knife and let them bleed to death:spin:

In belgian this ban is called (literally translated) the ban on slaughter without stunning

I think the name says it all what is best for the animal

When they do this type of slaughter in Australia standard practice is that they're stunned with a reversible stun gun first (unlike standard slaughter that uses an irreversible gun). Its a shame that this doesn't seem to be the case in many other countries.

Hope this happens in every country possible. Religion should never be on higher position than laws, nor become a part of the society.

Leave those thousands of years old fairytales in to the history where they belong.

Although I'm not a fan of that party I must defend them here ,they are just the conservative party ,not our extreme right party who they refuse the form coalitions with :vegas:

The nationlist term comes because there end-goal before was Making Flanders (Dutch speaking, most populous, rich part off Belgium) independed but now the want confedarlism.

There not an Xenophobic party (although they left the federal goverment three weeks ago because Belgium signed the UN-Migration pact)
