I think I need to reword this tbh, he thought that she wasn't right for it before they started filming ASIB, but until he saw the movie, he changed his mind and loved Gaga's acting and performance.

Well, he did want Beyonce for his version, which does go to show that his judgments were a little... off... considering she’s a terrible actress.

Her role in dreamgirls is more like Beyonce in film and not like acting-acting. I blame the role since she didn't write it and we can't see her acting potential. Also,  I have seen some old videos of Beyonce in interviews and she is more shy and down-to-earth there. 

I imagine them meeting in Beyonce's house with her kids running around and she feeds him left-over Texan Chili Con Carne.  

She could channel that vulnerability as Bradley takes a mak8e-up wipe to take off her make-up.
