NathanC 938
Don't we all envy her in some way or another? It's not a bad thing to envy someone, if I was jealous and didn't like her, then that would be a different story, but thanks for pointing that out to me like I didn't know I envied her. & to your second question.... because I am not OVER indulging in expensive things, throwing thousands of dollars in the air on a bag or a pair of heels, rather I am spending money on things I need like rent, insurance, gas, food, etc. But honestly, I do like to debate but I said my opinion about what she said, and that's that. If you don't agree with what I said I can argue my side but no more. My intentions are just to put my view out there, I don't need to change yours. We are all different but all the same because we love gaga. That is all! You MUST understand the law of economics... What is expensive for you is not expensive for her... the same way if you spend 100 bucks on dinner and consider that expensive, while someone making only 10k a year, an extravagant meal would be Mickey Ds... I'm glad you can admit that you're envious... and no we're not all envious of her... infatuated yes, envious, no...
AbeTheBabe 0
Why do you guys feel bad for her? Is she suppose to have some sort of wonderful life with NO flaws? Then she wouldn't be human. Come on people, this girl has it all, and talent to back it up, there is NOTHING to feel bad for her over. We all go through struggles, and while I do love this letter, I don't feel bad for her, **** happens. She said she had removed people from her life driven my money and luxury... but heck she is living that life! She has a 4000$ blanket for a dog.... if that's not luxury I don't know what is! Yes she has the right to spend the money she earns, but having a new LV bag everyday is kinda greedy. I am not putting her down, she works SO hard, but she doesn't need sympathy for anything... the famous world has always been tough and she should of known that. I don't think its a matter of pitying her. She is human therefore she has feelings which everyone is entitled to, whether they be living a life of luxury or struggling to pay their rent. All she was doing was telling us of her own personal struggles. If someone chooses to feel bad for her than thats their prerogative, but I don't think this was posted with the sole intention of fishing for pity. Just my opinion. I don't feel bad for her personally, but its insightful to know where shes coming from in her life at the moment and how that has affected/will affect what she released/releases. Gagaloo911 12,959
It's definitely Born This Way. Why would MTN be the most important single of her career? Exactly, she's not talking about MTN. She's talking about the single BTW being the most important one of her career. She's said so before, just can't recall in what interview. But I guarantee she's talking about BTW. What other single was incessantly dragged, as she stated? Obviously BTW, what with the endless and constant comparisons to Express Yourself and arguments of calling it plagiarizing and such. Anyway, I love the letter. This is what makes me love this woman, and what keeps me here alongside of her
RyanBall 1
It's definitely Born This Way. Why would MTN be the most important single of her career? I think it would be MTN. For Gaga it was her emotional out-pouring. The video was iconic and deeply involved with her life story, the song's very radio friendly and Gaga internationally promoted the single and it didn't chart anywhere near where it should have. BTW was much more successful. I guess Gaga just feels she stuck her neck out for the single, revealing the struggles of her life in an art format and having her label obviously hinder any chance of single success. FairyDreams 4
I agree with this post. Celebrities generally don't get my pity at all... but I'm not being cynical, it's just that everyone has problems to deal with. Regardless, it's great that she's feeling better now and (hopefully) her problems weren't in vain. I think Interscope will trust her a lot more now. Pretty much. Her struggles and everyone's is different, and personal to each... I am glad she is expressing it. Yes, I am not saying she can't buy all this, she can, but she seems to be a walking mannequin, and what I mean by that is she promotes the brands she wears, like she always wears the top notch, why can't we see her more casual for a few times? This is my own personal way of thinking, even if I had her paycheck and worked that hard, I wouldn't be seen with a new LV bag everyday. Honestly I don't really care she does, but it does irk me a bit because that's so much money that can be spent on better things than a bag...but yet again that is how I am. She does it for the love of fashion, which is what I love about her is what she can create through image, my love for what she does always shines through. I don't feel bad for her personally, but its insightful to know where shes coming from in her life at the moment and how that has and will effect what she releases, possibly. I agree I like hearing these personal things coming from her. She feels she can come to us on LM.com and it's great :) Edited August 14, 2012 by BornToBeBrave
Michelle 2,056
This fan base is NEVER satisfied. Who's the pressed one Gaga or you. I wonder how the people on GGD complaining about her weight feel now they've read this... THIS.
Fusel 1,109
She deserves my full respect. She once said "The biggest mistake you can make is lying to your fans" and she continues to tell us the truth. Today I'm somehow proud to be a little monster. Today I don't care about the ****ty lm.com memes, I feel like she was so honest to us. And when I think of the fact that she probably wrote songs like Princess Die back then makes me just grateful that we have her and that she's right by our side. loljustinwat 1
I think it's sweet of her to write letters to the fans and update them on her life. Yes, she should have expected the struggles that come along with fame, but she has every right to let out her feelings.
thefamebitch 833
The fact that some people are being STILL being pretty rude about what she does, on this site, bothers me. She's reaching out about things and being honest, what the hell is wrong with some people here?
beaster 0
The fact that some people are being STILL being pretty rude about what she does, on this site, bothers me. She's reaching out about things and being honest, what the hell is wrong with some people here? Agreed. Also, you didn't hear a peep from her last year when all this crap was going on. She saved it right until the moment she's in a happy enough place to share the message.... the silver lining being that she has gotten through these struggles and out the other side. On another note, I'm so happy she has Tara in her life
KillerQueen 8
Well, here in this one life that we get, personal growth and the ability to learn to trust oneself in times of stress is what it's all about. Gaga is getting there and can only get further. She's a tough cookie!
Americano 31,061
Things happen, ups and downs hit everyone regardless of stature/career/fame/etc. I'm glad she's handling it well though and being positive Edited August 14, 2012 by Americano

RitaOral 1,322
I think she was referring to MTN. Why could she call BTW a dead horse when it was anything but? It hit number one, became one of her biggest selling singles, it wasn't really dragged. MTN fits the description more in that it flopped on the charts and she was made to continue it's promo unnecessarily even though it was clear it wasn't getting any higher on the charts. Plus it's a lot more personal to Gaga than BTW was, it was about her lifes/her struggles yet it performed badly.
