rumours 45,521 Posted September 29, 2018 Share Posted September 29, 2018 Barbra Streisand is back with a mid-tempo, pop anthem called "Don't Lie to Me" aimed at Donald Trump (and the 2016 election in general). In the song, Barbra asks: "How do you sleep when the world keeps turning? / All that we built has come undone / How do you sleep when the world is burning?". She also claims: "You can make castles in the sky. You can use smoke and mirrors and old cliches ... don't lie to me." Many are claiming that the new track is a totally new sound for the 76 year-old sonically. The song appears on a new album arriving on November 2nd called "Walls". According to NPR, "Don't Lie to Me" is only one of multiple tracks which will focus on the current political system/climate in the United States of America. And wow she's 76, her voice is still so amazing. I hope Gaga takes care of her voice because Whitney couldn't sing as good as when she was younger and Mariah Carey struggles as well. I was always someone who admired Barbra, but I would never call myself a die-hard fan or anything of the sort. However, I think I'll have to check this new album out!
