Will the GP Reject CrazyGa?

I'm scared of 2008-2013 backlash. Gaga has been tamer post-ARTPOP and I think the public is starting to get accustomed to it. This scares me, as I do hope Gaga returns to her roots eventually in that regard. Will the GP be here for it though? Will her goodwill and reputation as a talented artist be gone?

I don't think so. I think Gaga, right now, exists in this interesting space where she can be both "Lady" and "Gaga" with little repercussions to both. For me personally, I can easily distinguish when she wants, or needs, to be "Lady" and when she wants, or needs, to be "Gaga," and I think the general public is the same way—more or less.

I mean, with ASIB you're not going to expect her walking down the Venice red carpet in a meat dress, that's just not the occasion. 

When she does return to music for LG6, then obviously shes' going to be more "crazy" and "outlandish," or whatever word you want to use, because that's her "persona" during that time. The GP will subconsciously (or perhaps consciously) realize that.

She doesn't need to be extra anymore. She can be creative without being "CrazyGa". She redefined herself so much that all she needs is just good single choices, artistic direction and promo.

Gaga will never, at least in my personal opinion, hit the outrageousness of the 2008-13 era.

She has seemingly found a happy balance between conversatism and avant garde that satsifies the major fans and keeps the GP interested.

While she is still churning out the weird looks (Enigma, the IG photo sets), she is still balancing it out with toned down aesthetics.

People expecting a full return to prosthetics, massive red carpet stunts and headline grabbing antics are probably gonna be disappointed

For most of her imperial phase, the costumes and "craziness" drowned out her musical talent. (Not to anyone reading this on this site right now, OBVIOUSLY. We been knew.) A lot of people didn't even know she could *SANG* until Cheek to Cheek or the Sound of Music tribute. They thought her costumes were a gimmick for attention, that she needed those things to be famous. There are people *NOW* who don't know she can sing or that don't know she writes her own music. With ASIB, even more people will experience the depth of her talents and abilities.

So if and when she does go "back to her roots," she'll do so having spent the last 5 years showing everyone how crazy talented she is, and the outrageousness will no longer be seen as a distraction. It could alienate some new fans, but more likely it would continue to excite people who realize she is the whole damn package. Talented *and* more interesting than everyone else we consider a pop star today.

I don’t think so. I mean pre ARTPOP  and pre Joanne fashion were very different from their respective follow up eras so i don’t think she usually teases her fashion for the next era, she actually does the opposite imo

pre-era fashion is usually more indicative of her headspace while making the music than what the era's fashion will be hahaha

After an album and tour with Tony Bennett, a stripped down documentary, an Americana album, A Sound of Music tribute at the Oscars, and now a PR tour as a critically lauded serious actress..if there are still doubters there will always be doubters. She can't pander to them. She can't spend the remainder of her career trying to prove that her shocking performances, radical fashion, and red carpet antics are not gimmicks made to distract from a lack of talent.

I hope like Roision Murphy and Bjork, she is able to evolve her "weirdness" without abandoning it.

Mhh idk sis... maybe you’re right. I didn’t think about the fact that the pre joanne era doesn’t include 2015 cause she was making the original LG5 back then, so i was comparing the joanne era looks with the 2015 ones
