ApplauseftAdele 4,730 Posted August 31, 2018 Share Posted August 31, 2018 I feel like ASIB is really rare because it has its own soundtrack of songs performed in the movie (The Greatest Showman, La La Land). BUT in this case, the fact that one of the main characters is Lady Gaga & some of the songs are pop could change it up a bit. Now I already think that ASIB has a good chance at reaching #1 on the albums chart but what about songs? Do you think people will buy and stream songs from the movie? In Fifty Shades, a lot of songs did super well on the charts but they were all commercialized songs about sex. I just am not too 100% sure that the ASIB soundtrack can have the same success as Fifty Shades or Black Panther could due to the nature of the soundtrack (aka the songs are in the movie, performed by the same people) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If the music is really as great as it sounds, odds are with a big box office run, the album may sell quite a few units. I feel like this could be gagas "I will always love you" or "my heart will go on" kind of song. dit 46,580 Posted August 31, 2018 Share Posted August 31, 2018 I doubt it will be hit singles since the songs they would most likely push are the duets which have a more "soft rock / ballady" type of vibe to them allegedly and that sound isn't really smashing lately. Or they would have released a single or a song with the pre-order. And they don't have any plans... Take that amazing soundtrack as a great bonus to go with the movie... Especially the ballads, those really have a chance to get played on the adult stations and probably even the country stations.
