Guys, do not retweet, like, or interact with any trolls about ASIB. Also it’s best not to talk about or share the article about the producer. The best thing is to REPORT all the fake accounts.

Keep on tweeting praise but don’t sugarcoat it too much lol to drown out the noise they’re trying to create. This moment is ours

Film Threat counts for Metacritic (aaaand Rotten Tomatoes). Anatha 100 perfect superb score.

“I know Lady Gaga has done some acting before, but here her performance is superhuman.  I’ve never seen someone able to act so thoroughly and convincingly while singing in all the history of humans attempting this in cinema.  I don’t know any other way to describe it but magic.  It is a full heart-and-soul level performance at a level that is beyond description.”

Sia makes songs for soundtracks literally every year for several movies. I definitely don't see her as a big competitor. Especially with Vox Lux, which doesn't seem to have a "popular appeal".

Yes, most likely.

I really hope she wins her second Oscar!

I remember me defending ASIB time ago on the charts thread, saying that it had the potential to be good, but I never imagined That it could be the front runner for Best Picture by any means.

What I don’t get about the few negative bits about some reviews is the argument “She’s a singer, she can sing well, nothing to see her folks”. The way they undervalue Gaga’s voice is a conundrum for me cause I view her singing as so raw, so powerful, so technically skilled yet so authentic. Conveying emotions such as happiness, melancholy, and heartbreak while singing live is one of the hardest things to do as an actor in my book. There are a lot of talented singers in the world, but when that lens is focused on you, waiting for you to belt your heart out, I don’t think it’s as easy as critics are aiming it to be. And I know Gaga will kill it in that aspect. I cannot wait.

Wtf that is exactly the reason to see it.

How is anyone giving a good performance in a film a turn off from seeing the movie. Then what do you do? Go watch nad movies?

Ya'll will never learn and that's why you'll stay the laughing stock and punching bag of the stan world.

Is it possible to 'opt out' of stan world? Don't care for the noise, don't care for my love and interest in an artist and their work being part of some 'competition' played by insecure, depressed people who live life vicariously through their faves.

They can laugh and punch all they want - why should anybody here care about playing that sad little game?

The person just means that some negative reviews undermine the fact that Gaga's ability to sing while expressing great emotion is impressive :hor:

Madam Margolyes

There's a quite negative review from Economist, which criticized the film for not portraying the real modern music industry, but praised Gaga's performance. Thankfully it doesn't count for MC and RT, so we still won :vegas:

What is it with these so-called economists-turned-film-critics though??? First it was Financial Times and now this. Just stay in your lane and concern more about stock market or how f***ed up world economy is :saladga:
