Dita Von Teese's surprisingly great self titled synthpop/chillwave album

I have always been a fan of Dita Von Teese as a model and glam/fashion icon. I was looking at a list of all albums released in 2018 and I saw she had released a synthpop album earlier this year! It was released in February but I couldn't find any threads about it, so idk if I put this in the right section lol phlop.

 Anyways I just listened to the whole thing and really enjoyed it and wanted to share. I wasn't expecting much going into it, honestly. I was thinking the music was going to be kinda like drag queen music, but I was delighted by the slinky, breezy, poolside sounds of Dita's breathy voice, perfectly complimented by Sebastien Tellier's sunbleached, sparse, ambient loungey  production. It reminds me of some of Lana Del Rey's more tropical tracks such as Florida Kilos, but don't take this as a Lana knockoff, Dita's style is all her own.

Give it a listen here! My favorite tracks were Rendezvous and La vie est un jeu. Brb, gonna go order a tiki drink and recline by the pool in a white bikini

My favorite is probably “La vie est un jue” or “Randez-vous”.

Its ok, bit too much like elevator music but its not bad. Still love her.
