Her being honest would to specifically address the situation with R Kelly instead of distancing herself without saying a word. She knew she was wrong, and she should be able to admit it. Since the release of DWUW Gaga has:

- Faced backlash from critics as well as the fandom for working with R. Kelly.

- Cancelled the video with him and released a version with Christina Aguilera.

- Clearly ended all ties she has had with him. They literally have not publicly interacted or performed the song since 2013.

- Then, she began advocating for sexual assault after disclosing a traumatic experience of her own.

- Released ‘Til It Happens To You’, from the movie Hunting Ground which deals with sexual assault in college.

- Stood in solitary with other survivors at the Oscars, watched by 30+ million people. With some critics declaring it as beginning the snowball on the Me Too movement, a year before the Weinstein story broke.

- Worked with Vice President Joe Biden on ‘It’s On Us’, a campaign against sexual assault.

- Openly supported Kesha throughout Kesha’s battle against sexual assault.

Since FEFE Nicki has:

- Called 6ix9ine her ‘best friend’.

- Added him as an opening act on her tour.

- Added FEFE onto her new album as an attempt to increase its streams.

I just think Gaga working with R. Kelly was a big big mistake and ****ing bad idea and it will follow her forever. It's not forgotten and it will never be. A bless the music video never leaked, let's pray it won't one day.

She cancelled Azealia for being problematic but kept R. Kelly, that's still not understandable to me. She should have cancelled both.

And what the **** do you mean Gaga never received as much backlash as Nicki? Are you high rn? She got ripped three ****ing assholes bc of that messy ass era and wanted to quit music, and there was never a video for DWUW bc of those same reasons. The ARTPOP era ended bc of that, there was no longer any promo for ARTPOP bc of that.

Because Gaga is a one of the biggest, most relevant pop stars right now, which is why she brought it up. She did recieve backlash but it is nowhere near the backlash Nicki is getting right now, most likely because FEFE is doing so well. Those of y'all saying she ain't getting any backlash right now are ignorant AF and obviously don't follow Nicki. Why y'all acting like I was attacking Gaga? Another thing is that it's kinda true that men are being held accountable far less than women. But then why doesn't she drag one of those male rappers who worked with abusers instead of coming for another female who was completely destroyed by the media once for the same reason?

Gaga apologized for the scrapped video and that her management was messing everything up for her. But she basically blamed her management for everything. Wasn't a real apology.
