but that just gives the movie even more longevity into 2020, a random promo boost at the grammys

but those categories are not even televised

In my deluded mind this means LG6 is coming the week before so she can snatch the big 3 Grammys ( Album, Song, Record of the year) and carry the momentum into the Oscars. I doubt Grammys are their main concern here sine Best Soundtrack isn't really a major award. I doubt WB gives a sh*t about any non-film related awards. But if their star is getting Grammy's for her solo material that means more promo and prestige that they don't have to campaign for with their money.

Plus her team keep teasing us so harddddddd

Hit me a message and say hi !

but now they get to promote it as grammy nominated/winning :ohwell:

TGS soundtrack came out in december of 2017 and it's STILL charting and will probably get a little boost in 2019 :ohwell:

but they couldve promoted it as grammy nom/ winning all through 2019 :ohwell: and TGS was a legit musical, people who've watched ASIB have confirmed that it's more of a drama with musical elements. la la land and showman are pure musicals.

Gaga can definitelly beat Twenty One Pilots with a good promotion for the soundtrack, they aren't that scary, their last album (and best selling album) sold 147.000 units on its debut in like 2015 and nowadays are not on the same level.

Shocked they don’t want to push for Grammy nominations.

The Grammys will happen next year. Also they want to make sure the movie is not overshadowed by the soundtrack which can easily happen.

maybe not. but it could've been, missing the deadline by 5 days is just :rip:

Actually, no. The movie is way more important and its a good thing the soundtrack is not the main focus.

well if it's not a real musical then i can understand why they don't really care for grammys and would rather have 100% of the focus be on the oscars etc plus would gaga even be credited with the grammy or would it be a shared award?

movies like black panther have great selling soundtracks because they're HUGE movies with mass appeal to millions across the globe

i think it's been clear from the start their main goal was oscar wins over box office topping success and i think we forget that since we're not used to movie cycles

i mean, sure i can understand why didn't they opt for a week earlier and snatch a grammy next year but maybe it was just easier to release it the same day as the movie since it's not a priority?

S0436

Mamma Mia 2 soundtrack was released a week before the movie and only sold moderately but the week after the movie was released it increased in sales a lot.  They probably just want big sales in one go.

They did 147k with literally no hits though. :rip:

Reality

Y'all, maybe the reason why they aren't going to heavily promote this soundtrack is because they need to promote LG6 :vegas:

You guys believe it or not but LadyGagaNow is TOTALLY legit. They are not "insiders" at all, they just have those sources and those knowledges and they share some news with us.

If they say this is what will happen, this is what will happen. Get over it

Probably smart to avoid Grammys this year with TGSM. But you know **** everything cause it’s fighting beyonce and lion king next year.

When does Lion King come out? Maybe it'll be after Sept 30 as well

If this is true then this is already such a mess. Missing Grammy deadline by one week, no singles released before the movie. I just don't undrestand her team/label sometimes.
