Chickens in Malibu 7,873
Honestly I really wonder what's going on in Gaga's management team. For those who don't know Ryan Tedder is a very hot songwriter and producer in the industry right now. He worked on everything from 21, 25, to 1989 and Beyoncé (self-titled), so basically some of the most successful albums of this decade. He wrote Halo, Bleeding Love (N1 song for those who are too young to know it), Rumor has it, Turning Tables, XO, Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone" etc... Billboard named him the "Undercover King of Pop" based on the consistent success of the material he worked on over the years. In 2017 he expressed interest in working with Gaga on her new album. Yet we haven't seen any indication that Gaga responded to him... He seems to really like her and saying that she should be careful with Fame in 2009 because she's "bigger than life". I just can't possibly imagine how Gaga would ignore such a great opportunity to work with a great established producer/songwriter and work with people like Boyz Noise who don't have anything close to a hit to date lol (sorry but true..) I was really hoping for LG6 to be as big as Beyoncé's 5th album, or Adele's albums. But unfortunately, Gaga is unlikely to reach such level until she enlists the right producers/songwriters to help her. It's really sad to see Gaga's talent be undermined by bad management choices in my opinion.
funkyhaus 7,697
LG6 will not be on the same “comeback” level as Beyoncé so it doesn’t matter, bookmark me

That's why I'm a bit frustrated she skips Ryan Tedder to work with much less-experienced producers

I didn't, but it often seems to be the reason, why Gaga doesn't work with certain artists.
Sneaky Oliver 22,321
Because Gaga is the boss shes always looking for new producers to create a new sound. She doesnt need a famous one to tell her what to do unless she has a personal connection (like Mark Ronson)
Mus 7,883
She herself is a songwriter already What’s in a reverse-warholian expedition?

Muraena 292
Because she's not interested in working with him? And for you to call a "bad management choice", so you want her team to force her to work with certain producers? It's her music and her career, if she doesn't want to make hit records anymore, so be it.

She obviously likes the sound and style of those producers she's chosen, I don't think she cares about how successful they are

Maybe she doesn’t sometimes She’s a good songwriter herself, RedOne even said one time that the only contribution he had for Bad Romance lyrics was adding the “ooh” parts, I believe Imo, I don’t think she need to work some guy who makes hits just to have more hits for her. I think she’s already past that and she likes to work with more different/not so popular producers to stay out of what is trending, just as she said before in an interview. freebit 6,240
She tends to work with people she's either knows (DJWS, Garibay, Ronson) ,has been personally introduced to (Jimmy Iorvine introducing her to Zedd (IIRC), Ronson bringing his crew with him, Bloodpop presumably bringing in Sophie etc.), or people the label wants her to work with (RedOne, Bloodpop, Hilary Lindsay, FJM). Maybe none of these things have happened with her & Ryan Tedder? Personally, I think Ryan is a solid songwriter, but its not as if he has an exciting sound. He's kind of like a younger, less iconic Diane Warren in that he seems mostly known for sappy pseudo ballads.
WildSalome 999
I don't really understand why everyone wants her to work with every successful producer who's worked with major artists. Just because someone works with a producer who's worked with Beyonce or Taylor doesn't mean it's a guaranteed hit. And really it doesn't even matter at this point. Pop music isn't the same as it was and I don't think with the format music is heading nowadays it's going to be the same as it was before. I'd much rather see Gaga work with someone who lets her reach her vision rather than just making a hollow hit.
