The second one isn't even dancing though, she's just walking.

Eh, I'd disagree. ARTPOP's choreography is just as intricate as her previous stuff and obviously Joanne's stuff would be more low key.

She is 100% a good dancer. She isn’t a perfect dancer, but she’s a bloody incredible performer who can sing with a great voice while dancing well. Yeah there are better dancers, but her energy, charisma and ability to still sing as good as she does while dancing is impressive. 

Believe it or not, I’ve actually heard non-fans call her a good dancer

I think she's great at the role she does, she the one center-front, leading, singing, and she doesn't need to do ALL the choreo. She's had some great choreographic moments, you can see she puts passion in her performing, she has a great way of moving her body that suits what she's doing (there have been exceptions, of course, some could say many, but okay).

Maybe the reason she isn't often regarded as a great dancer is because she isn't consistently great. She has ups and downs. And there's nothing wrong with that. She's always regarded as a great vocalist because she's pretty much always on point.

I mean, Applause has great choreo, but other than that, I don't really know, her dances since then haven't been as intensive as before. A lot of her dancing now involves arm movements and hip movements, not a whole lot of leg work. That's understandable though.

Well, to be fair, in her music videos her dance shots are always clipped really short so you get the impression of better control/timing. Beyonce's Single Ladies video was so impressive because it was a 1-take. It's rare to see Gaga dance for more than 15 seconds before taking a break to sing/vamp about/etc. But Gaga is underrated as a dancer-- let's not forget WAS a professional dancer (of the go-go variety!) before she became famous after all!

Personally I think Gaga is an OK dancer. It'sclearly not natural to her but she is much better than a lot of the other popgirls. I think what brings her overall dancing quality down is her pretty horrible choreo she's been getting for a while now and also the fact that she is very "spazzy" in her movements. There isn't a flow to her movements. She spazzes a lot. I also think her hip probably changed the quality of her dancing but even before the hip breaking a lot of her dancing was OK-ish to me simply because the choreo was lame. As bad of a person Laurieanne was she was objectively a much better choreographer for her than Richy.

she can learn the choreography but she doesn't have elegant classy body movement, it's always awkward

 Oh my god she is so sweet giving this girl advice and reccommending she join LM.com to make friends, and signing her perfume TWICE, thinking that she should sign on the box instead of the wrapper so she can open it and use it.

She can do it but its not natural. And the few times she lets lose it doesnt really work. Her movements can be bit awkward sometimes.

But there have been some highlight moments when her energy shines through

i feel like she got wayyyyy better at dancing while singing when she trained for the super bowl, during the joanne world tour it seemed she could dance more with out getting out of breathe so easily.
