Can Someone Explain to Me Why This Fanbase Hates Joanne?

Like idk how its gets so much hate? There are beautiful songs like Angel Down, Million Reasons, Joanne, Grigio Girls, etc. I seriously don't understand how, Joanne is my 2nd favorite album of all time, (after BTW ).....Like I still don't understand.

It’s wonderful. A jewel in her discography and there’s nothing too distinct to ‘now’ on it which will hopefully mean it’ll age well

It seems as though this fanbase dislikes the current era until it's over and we're in the middle of the next era. That's when you see all the "(past era's album) was Gaga's best album"

some of them can't let go of TFM/BTW and will do anything to make MR seem like a flop which is weird when they're meant to be gaga fans but when LG6 pops out, i'm sure there will be a flurry of Joanne love

Cuz they don’t have diverse taste and don’t like any music outside of the pop scene. Joanne was a smart move for her and a breath of fresh air tbh. It’s sound was so different for her and I enjoyed it. It’s a great album with awesome songs.

I don't think even MOST of the fanbase hates Joanne. I think it's not for a lot of people. But yeah, it's a very different pop sound from Gaga. Also, I think a lot of people think its quality is debatable, which is fair, honestly. Everyone doesn't have to like everything. I don't think Angel Down is good, I think it's sorta awful, but that's just me. I Stan Joanne, but about half of my friends really don't, ha. We all cool.

I dont hate the album. In fact, I really like it and I think MR is one of Gaga s best songs EVER. However, what I disliked from the era were the mediocre music videos and the lack of promo for PI and in general (pre Superbowl). Also the outfits were super boring. I get that Joanne is not the kind of music to promote in a meat dress, but still... a short and a t shirt is boring for Gaga

The Superbowl literally saved the era and made it memorable

It’s a gem. Diamond Heart, Million Reasons, Hey Girl, and Angel Down lyrics are among her best.

The instrumentation/production on each song is just flat out her best production as a whole out of all her albums.

People just need to get over the fact that Gaga keeps evolving as an artist. I loved Joanne, Cheek to Cheek, Born This Way and ALL of her albums. Each are so different in their own sense which shows her versatility. I think a lot of people want her to go back to the type of sound that made them fans.

There is no country on that album! When will people stop with that sh*t? Sinner's prayer at a stretch but ffs... Most of Joanne is pop

Anyways: I was shooketh when I first listened to it and genuinely like the songs
