It was already a suprise (a bad one ) that no new music was released in 2017 right after the ASIB filming. It seems obvious that a new album is coming this year. Gaga and her team know that Joanne would have done way better if it was released in 2015, because the hype was much bigger. They also saw what happened to Katy after waiting too long before releasing Witness despite her last album being really successful. They probably won't take the risk to wait 2019 before releasing LG6, knowing that there will be a real hype around it with ASIB being released in October.
