Economy 52,860
I wouldn't torture even a terrorist like this Death penalty deserved (and I rarely think a crime is death penalty worthy)

They took someone’s life. Eye for an eye. You probably think the opposite, but letting a murderer live is what devalues life, not the other way around. She should’ve gotten the death pentalty too. The only problem is it won’t be barbaric unfortunately. Real justice would be torture but that’s ”wrong”. *sigh* That poor boy. They deserve to go through what he went through. Lastly, people like that shouldn’t be a burden on tax payers. There is nothing just about that. WELL SAID! I used to be against the death penalty a few years ago, but honestly, my sympathy for people like this has RUN OUT! They deserve nothing less than a long torturous DEATH! Bogdan 164
I don't know why people get so worked up over the death penalty. If I was to be convicted to life in prison with no possibility of parole, I'd rather take the death penalty. Living in prison is no way to live and the death penalty is a quick way out of the misery. The guy in fact got lucky, while the mother will suffer for the rest of her days because environment in prison is not exactly exemplary. It is known that prisons in US (they're a good case) have stopped caring of rehabilitating the individuals. It's strictly a punishment and people sent there don't become better while in it. Quite the opposite in fact, given the number of ways you can die in it.

This. Getting an injection and dying isn’t “horrible.” And in fact the legal process to obtain the death penalty is more expensive than just being in prison for life. Most people have barbaric minds but thankfully commoners aren’t in charge of the justice system and we have a certain set of values we adhere to. Hadrian 2,636
Things like this are why I started supporting the death penalty. Your rights end where others' rights begin. rosetta stone is rolling in her grave rn 🙏🥀🥀
LadyLuca 2,611
So disgusting. They should both have the same treatment. There is no logical explaination for this. Death penalty is bull shiet. It wont help or bring the kid back. They should be used for experiments. Health research n stuff. Trying operations or new medecine. Not to torture them, Just for humanity and progress. Maybe cruel or morally questionable but at the same time I think what they have got in reality is just a waste. Not everybody deserve rehabilitation imo. (she wont come out of prison anyways) This case is a perfect example. Gosh that makes me angry Sry but those have lost any human rights for me as for me there are no humans anymore. Those are monsters and lost their shot for life.

Quite the opposite in fact, given the number of ways you can die in it. That's the issue I have with prisons system. In a case this severe I support the death penalty tbh But in the majority of cases I think an effort to adjust the individual should be a priority. Punishment should also have a goal of improving the individual besides just punishing for justice. Simply throwing someone in jail stuck in a room and in a bad environment only drives people insane it does nothing to make them better ppl I think discipline with the goal of bettering people would require a more complicated system. Just putting all the criminals together in a building with cells is simpler and so our justice system leaves it at that Prisons is a really old, old system. Our modern society really should come up with better ways of dealing with lawbreakers There's exceptions of course. Someone who's a big danger to society for example for others safety jail may be the best way to deal with it... But say someone who commited tax fraud... They won't directly hurt anyone, really there's gotta be a better way to deal with them than prison
