Man berates restaurant staff and customers for speaking Spanish; Exposed!

Majority populations just being absurd. What else is new? Immigrants don’t just drop their cultural identity like that. IT DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT.

No matter the immigrant you’re talking about- German, Irish, Italian, Mexican, Chinese... in areas of high immigrant populations, those people ARE going to speak their native language because it’s what they’re most comfortable with.

Assimilation takes time.

And during that time, assholes like this guy always spew unnecessary hate because they’re too uncivilized to know empathy. Arguments against immigrants are all based in one thing: xenophobia. The native population’s discomfort with having people who are different share their space with them. They’re primitive. They have an “us vs. them” caveman mentality. They only have a narrow, short term perspective. Territorial. Resource-greedy.

All the while, the 1% are sucking the wealth out of the middle class. Leeching off students and sick people. The true culprits of our declining society.

And this idiot voted and worships one of them, while vilainizing people who have no effect on his life and well-being. The irony is that they help the economy. They buy, work, pay taxes that are never returned to them.

He is a fool. Anyone who supports Trump merely because he wants to build a wall - - and despite the complete disaster he has been for the middle class and foreign policy - is a ****ing fool.

I met so many of this kind..

In France I got yelled "speak French" when I spoke in English with my husband

In Israel they yelled "speak Hebrew" to Russians Israelis when they spoke Russian

In Italy, the same "speak Italian"

It's all over the world, this nationalism and patriotism, so don't feel like the US is some kind of a special problematic kid in the world.. it always happened, it's just now it's so easy to expose it..

It's kinda reverse in India :messga:

We prefer English speaking people to Hindi (what some of you may call "Indian" :ladyhaha:) speaking ones. Actually, there are so many language here, that English easily bonds us :diane: We have an old saying that goes like "The English had left [India], but left English behind" :poot:

OT: Expected behaviour from MAGA members :neyde:

This isn't a new thing for him either...

Also, I feel like anyone defending him here clearly does not grasp the situation and has never been on the receiving end of discrimination.

Whispering

What a Snowflake!

Pretty funny that Aaron M. Schlossburg's website has a Spanish language option. Apparently it's fine to speak Spanish if you're a client. If you're speaking Spanish and making the snowflake's sandwich, he's going to call ICE...citizen or not.

You totally glossed over the actual understandable fact... which is him being uncomfortable with other people speaking In a different language because he has no idea what they're talking about...

But keep going

Why is he uncomfortable with other people speaking  (among themselves, mind; he is not involved in the conversation) in a different language? :oprah::huh::saladga:

Lmao. Cancel me...

You can’t stop my voice, cause
You don't own my life but
Do what you want with my body

But this lawyer dude can stop Spanish-speaking people's voice and they should be polite to him so that his bigotry is not hurt?

Hindi is not equal to Indian  India has 22 Official languages (including Hindi and English) and about 150 languages in total with a sizable no. of speakers.

Oh yeah, I know that. Totally agree. I was just talking about my area, where we speak Hindi, or Hindustani to be precise. But I've seen people getting confused with Indian languages. They think we speak Indian, which is not a thing, you know.

BTW, which part of India are you from?

A bit of research will tell you this is not a valid argument. His website states that he is fluent in Spanish. Unless that's a lie...

Not that that's a good reason to berate someone publicly and imply that you know their life story based on their race anyway.

As someone who's originally from France, I am sure it is a crime to do what this guy did.

You may be told to speak french, in public institutions, if they can't understand you. But no one can make racist remarks about you, calling you undocumented and threaten to get law enforcement on you.

So there's a big difference here.
