I’m gonna start watching those as I have only seen Suicide Squad :laughga: I really want to join

You should. It's really a very interesting franchise and the superheroes are doper than Marvel's imo. :bon:

I mean at least BvS had over $870 million in box office whereas JL barely hit $700 million, which is supposed to be a movie which rivals The Avengers.

That box office for BvS are the result of hype, the core fans were still hyped up with DCEU when this happened..., until they watches it and see wronged they were by WB and with JL, having been let down, most core fans decides not to see the film on theatre but waited until it hits the digital like iTunes cos they are hesitant to pay money for DCEU related films anymore, after JL, some core fans even dropping it altogether.

I'm more of a DC fan than Marvel.

I loved Man of Steel, Batman V Superman and Wonder Woman. Didn't really care for SS but I loved Robbie as Harley.

Now, what the studio meddling did to Justice League is unforgivable for me. They messed it up so badly that I didn't even watch it the second time. From the weak CGI to Cavill's infamous mustache CGI, to the reduced Steppenwolf storyline and cutting out scenes with Cyborg and the Flash plus the cringe-y Martha-Lois thirsty convo... with the Flash face-planting Diana...  I won't continue the list. Now I won't defend everything Snyder does but when they full well known that they can't back out from doing Justice League since it was in pre production by the time the media ripped BvS to pieces, they should've just let Snyder finish what he started. I don't think it could've been any worse than what we got. But we don't know everything that went down behind the scenes.

I'm hopeful for Shazam!, Aquaman and Wonder Woman 2. Don't know what to expect from the New Gods movie with DuVernay, but I'm also hopeful about that.

James Wan should be able to do Aquaman justice. His horror films and Furious 7 proved to be successful. And his style is very different from Snyder's.

I have always loved Batman because I used to watch the 90s movies all the time when I was a kid and years later I loved how dark and poetic the Nolan trilogy was

Then for a while I started really enjoying Marvel movies (Guardians being my favorite movie) and I was constantly impressed at all the connections between them and how solid their extended universe was

When Suicide Squad was announced with Jared as the new Joker I was 100% back on board with DC but I admit that Suicide Squad's plot is probably the worst movie plot ever. The problem with that movie is that they should have made a Joker x Harley movie first and then a Suicide Squad movie. The scenes between Jared and Margot are my favourites and the costume/character design is imo the best thing that came out of the movie. It was also very sad seeing how they tricked us by making us believe that the Joker was going to be the main villain in the movie. That was another big mistake.

Other than that I actually really liked Man Of Steel and BvS (despite all the hate they constantly receive) but I have to say Wonder Woman is definitely the best movie form the DC Extended Universe with Justice League right behind it.

I was SUPER excited about Margot Robbie producing a Gotham City Sirens movie (mainly because Poison Ivy is my fav character) but I am so annoyed with her decision to make a Birds Of Prey movie instead. Such a missed opportunity.

Nolan made three Batman films that were critically acclaimed, maybe you should check them out. Heath Ledger even got an Oscar for portraying the Joker. But of course, they're outside the DCEU. I think you can check out Aquaman's upcoming trailer and see if you liked it. It's from quite a good director James Wan.

I was always a fan of DC cartoons but I collected both Marvel and DC cards when I was younger. I think the DCEU won't work as is. I'm very hesitant about anything they put out. BvS was a disaster. I hated that i couldn't walk out from the theater because I was with my family (who ended up not liking the movie too). I won't torture myself like that again.

Disclaimer: I'm generally not a movie person anyway. But BvS was traumatizing......

I’ve always preferred DC because it generally has better characters, but I didn’t finish Man Of Steel or BvS and I haven’t yet watched Justice League. I don’t want to be disappointed:emma:

I liked Suicide Squad but i really have to make a disclaimer here: I can tolerate a lot of stupid stuff and plot holes, if your not able to watch a movie which is structured completely wrong, your not going to like Suicide Squad

Same goes for Justice League

High King

If the DC films had the same care and creativity as is put into the Marvel films, they would be twice as successful.

The DC universe is richer, with better characters and mature themes, but they can’t seem to crack the film universe. It’s frustrating.

Most of the animated DC films are better than any film Marvel has released, they need to figure their stuff out.
