I loved it.

In a way it was also kind of creepy because everything you see is quite genuine. It's literally someone following Gaga with a camera wherever she is.

Personally I enjoyed it for what it was. Was it as raw as I would want it to be? No. But its a Netflix documentary of a pop star in the midst of her career, its not going to be as raw as anyone would want. Only in the far future will we see a REAL bare bones Gaga documentary come out that gets down to the gritty and ugly details of the industry. As far as these modern day pop "documentaries" go though, I think hers was a lot more honest and artful than her contemporaries (Katy, Bey, Demi, etc). I enjoyed it and I think there were glimpses of the real deal in there that fans can point out and get off on imo.

To me shes just a human just like all of us. She tried to make it as real as she could for her fans courtesy. But for sure she also wanted to keep her distance because she did not wana reveal too much. But i loved how she spoke and how she showed us a glimpse of how she got Joanne. It was also really personal with the grandma and the superbowl rehearsals. It was the perfect mix of distance and what her reality is like

I thought it was great. A nice (and sad) little peek into her life. I’m sure there will be plenty of documentaries about Gaga in the future and I can’t fkn wait tbqfh
