Tried To Make a Lofi Song

made this simple song yesterday, the artwork is from the movie Your Name, which is a good movie

I absolutely love lofi music so I enjoy this very much.

 

If you want any kind of criticism, I think by the middle of the song your sounds get less organic than they should. Lofi is about transforming electronic sounds into something you could hear in the rain, in your steps across downtown, or in the air when you watch the stars at night. You start really well but when the song develops the "electronic" stamp is still very much there, and I kind of miss the step for the ambient mood.

 

Anyway, really good job, please keep posting these songs! Can you tell us how you did it, any particular program you used? I would love to see if I could do something similar (although I'm pretty sure I'm not lol).

Thanks for the advice, ill make sure i fix that whenever i do lofi again!

i used Garageband and downloaded some vinyl effects online
