whiteboi1327 84
I am sure gaga wont hit #1 for 8 weeks because most fans will buy it its first 3 weeks out. The most I can see it is 6-7 weeks. Gaga is too much of an album's artist to have #1 for 8-10 weeks lol

Gaga is too much of an album's artist to have #1 for 8-10 weeks lol Well, if the single will be really good, it can be - the GP would buy it. Look at TEOG. I always wondered: what's better - to have a #1 hit for 10 weeks that sells 5mil copies in let's say 6 months or to have a #1 for 5 weeks that sells 5 mil copies in 3 months? Longevity is important, but selling crazy is also important - this would mean people are crazy for your staff. I'd go the 2nd option. Ya'll?

It means, as long as the singles of other artists are selling low, you can get a #1 for many weeks if you sell at a consistent but slightly higher rate. The song has to really be a jam, and the marketing must be constant and effective. Edited August 2, 2012 by boysboysboys

Ya'll? i say the first because longevity will help album sales in the long run and can get a better place on billboard awards at the end of the year haha That's an interesting point. Mariano 958
Bad Romance never hit number 1 but its longetivity make it sale more than 5.4 million copies right ?
boysboysboys 278
Bieber flatlining at #5. So is Nicki at #50. I've been wondering: why did No Doubt sink while Pink did somewhat OK? On that note, Pink dark red at #10 and No Doubt dark green at #78. Bad Romance never hit number 1 but its longetivity make it sale more than 5.4 million copies right ? I'm not sure if those are the exact sales, but I think it's because the song is very catchy, but quite above quick consumption.Greece (39) Songs: 59. Bad Romance 65. Alejandro 83. Poker Face 116. Just Dance 171. Telephone 197. Born This Way 235. Paparazzi 391. Judas Albums: 99. The Fame Monster 166. The Fame 275. Born This Way Greece, I love you! PopRunTheWorld 0
GaGa is on #5 Social 50 Music Chart(last week #13). Katy Perry is on #6 *points = 64% x sales/K + 80% x airplay (A.I. millions) + 5% x on demand streaming/K Does it mean 'Call Me Maybe' have 248 points? Cuz: 179*64% + 109*80% + 915*5% =~ 248. Arturo 40,746
EVERYONE on Twitter is going crazy over Judas being certified Platinum but when I go on the RIAA website, I find absolutely nothing about it being certified in anyway? I know twitter isn't reliable but I still want to know what started this rumor...
