He had 3 albums of which 2 were a huge success, while Ariana sold 1 Million worldwide with her last album alone.

Look I don't like them tbh but if you enjoy their music that's amazing we all have different tastes :)

It’s getting worse because you flops keep buying every song that has at least 4.5 seconds that’s marginally acceptable.

Stop buying crap music and people will stop making crap music. :lolga:

Ed's new albums sucks but he has pipes and he writes his own music so I don't get what are your requirements for someone to be called talented...

Same with Ari, she has one of the best voices in the industry, she can perform and she's apparently involved in the producing of all the songs on her upcoming album, so I really don't know what a talented person is to you :excuseu:

Gaga is talented to me sis :) Anyway again I don't like them and their voices are not my type because I think Ariana runs out of breath quickly and I don't enjoy a guy with a guitar that much ( plus their **** personalities rubs me the wrong way ) but again enjoy their music it's totally fine we all have our different preference :)

Yeah but atleast Ari and Ed make good pop and not songs that sound like everything else on the radio.

As time progresses, it is going to become easier to become famous and attain that status for a long time due to social media. This leads to "singers" who are not as great as their predecessors who have fought extremely hard to be where they're at today.

Bingo.  Social media changed the game.  Gaga had to work very hard to get her start.  She had to go from radio station to radio station to promote her music.  Now it's easier.

That's why people like Justine Beiber and Shaun Mendes have a record deal :reductive:

And now even songs like Shape Of You and albums like 1989 get Grammys.

Totally.  Ari is very talented.  If she tours in America, I'll be there.

In my opinion it's about the hype behind young new artists. Once the GP gets bored of them, they switch to something fresh and new. If you manage to not be a one hit wonder and actually last 5-10 years or more, you're lucky. For example, how is Lorde seen strictly in my country, or at least how she was. Royals was the big debut, she was everywhere, everything fine. Then you had Team, it failed to match the airplay of the previous single and it bombed on charts. Then they stopped playing her next singles and then forget about her and move on to something else. Same happened with every other pop star, including Gaga, Katy, etc...except Rihanna :trollga:
