GlitterGrease 53
oh come on this one was actually funny "Happy I could help her make it" It's not that serious. You can tell by her little smirk that she's just having a laugh which I wish other people could do. Everyone is so upset tho The Madonna tag on Tumblr is filled to the brim with Gaga stans rn :toofunny:
Xavier 0
Of course I know electronic music was present. I just think she brought it to mainstream American radio. I personally think the boyband/Britney/Christina sound was the sound of 2000. Music is my favorite M album, so I just wanted to see what you thought. She brought it to American radio because she made it, however, she didn't bring it to American radio and make it mainstream if thats what you're trying to say. These other artists were already popular and already had music on the radio at that time. Madonna just made something in that genre. Thanks for ignoring my post. How is American Life a pretentious album? You know that only 1 song on that album is actually a political statement? The rest is mostly personal with one comment on pop culture. I applaud Madonna for doing something different with that album. Because she doesn't have to just make less-inspired pop music (like Hard Candy or Music). In no way is American LIfe "pretentious". I know how it all has to do with opinion - but it's not has horrible as people make it out to be. They hear the title and think she's trying to be "edgy" by doing a political album. And the political statement in the title song isn't anything to scream about. Meaning it shouldn't put a stick up your butt. American Life shows how much of an artist she is more than a lot of the **** that came afterwards and even the stuff that came WAY before it. Just pointing out that I'm not too happy with Madonna's current situation. But I'm tired of people b---hing about it all the time. And would you quit it with the "sucking her dick" stuff? No one is doing that. The people who are "sucking her dick" are the ones who have been for years. Because I have ears. It's pretentious and a failure at being provocative. Why else do you think its one of her biggest flops? It's not underrated. Its exactly as it should be.

LittleDudeNT5 0
Because I have ears. It's pretentious and a failure at being provocative. Why else do you think its one of her biggest flops? It's not underrated. Its exactly as it should be. How is it pretentious? And she wasn't even trying to be provocative. It's all just based on opinion. I think it sounds different from her work and it's refreshing. It's better than the **** album before it and the **** that came afterwards. I'd rather her be interesting in American Life then make bubblegum pop in MDNA.

These other artists were already popular and already had music on the radio at that time. Madonna just made something in that genre. I guess my main problem is you placing Music in the same league as Hard Candy(which is a fine album) and MDNA(which is an offensively **** album). There were already multiple popstars doing the Timbaland sound, or the Martin Solveig sound. I really don't think there were any other popstars doing french house music, and if there were, then by all means prove me wrong How is it pretentious? And she wasn't even trying to be provocative. It's all just based on opinion. I think it sounds different from her work and it's refreshing. It's better than the **** album before it and the **** that came afterwards. thefamebitch 826
She's so full of it in my opinion. It's sad that she can't take the highroad, it's like a school child to me. I don't get why she keeps addressing this whole Born This Way thing, it's over b---h! Sorry if that's harsh but it's been over an entire YEAR and she should know that nobody besides Gaga and Madonna fans care about the BTW ordea, not the general public!! She's not winning people over with all the mentions about Born This Way... For those who swear she's still so great and whatnot, go talk to normal everyday people about Madonna. I'd hate to break it to you, but most people say they don't like her; they prefer her back in the "old days." So with that being said, let's stop acting like Madonna is always right just because she's the "queen."
LittleDudeNT5 0
Why does everyone hate the flawless masterwork that is Music  I haven't given it a proper listen, but from what I've heard, it isn't anything special. I don't hate it but I'm trying to make a point here.

thefamebitch 826
Teens. People in their 20s. Sorry, but I have not heard that from a single person in real life. I've only seen that on the old GGD when she started with BTW, and when a bunch of the old people didn't like her new style.
GlitterGrease 53
Let's try and keep it cute Sorry, but I have not heard that from a single person in real life. I've only seen that on the old GGD when she started with BTW, and when a bunch of the old people didn't like her new style. A few of my friends have said that. But, to be fair, a lot of people feel the same way about Madonna
