Ok I'm sorry , I'm one of the more sophisticated commenters on GGD ever since 2013 but I will rip this post apart.

Let's start with the title "Kesha doesn't deserve a Grammy" is a petty title/opinion for the following reasons

1-As a Gaga fan on a Gaga site, you will undoubtedly have bias in some shape or form which gives little to no value to your very own subjectivity

2-You could easily express your opinion/title in a more refined manner cause all it spells out is "Bitter" over something that didn't even happen yet. You could have easily titled it "Gaga deserves to win both her nominations".

3-If you even were aware of the Grammys, you would know that there is no consistency or pattern that they follow when it comes to awarding thus "who deserves it or not" will not factor in. Many artists are worthy, that is why they have nominations. You can not expect one album or one song to be superior to all others just because it got a Grammy or just because you think so. A Grammy is a nod of appreciation rather than the song or album being superior to anyone elses. After all the Grammy comity does not represent the choice of the world.

Let's address that you think she should not win because it would "be a feel good moment after all she went through"

1-It is not like she's being nominated cause the Grammys felt sorry for her lmfao. You yourself are aware that the album is good. The Grammy comity are cut throat when it comes to nominations, you seriously think they'll think twice. If they do award her, it won't be cause of her personal life but cause the music is good.

2-Winning because of what she went through is an added bonus and not the primary reason why she should win. It would be a glory story that shall inspire millions but hey let's overlook that since no one cares about being inspired I guess lol.

"Gaga's Joanne and MR have better vocals , better lyrics, and a more creative production"

1-Bias all over

2-Praying has a wider vocal range than MR btw and better lyrics in my opinion and I'm a Gaga stan

3-More creative production ? Sis it's mostly guitar based not some instrument from the year 3000

 "Gaga sort of set...."

1-Gaga set nothing, Joanne sounds like many Country Pop albums lol (production and tone wise)

2-Yet many Gaga fans get pressed when People say Madonna set the tone for Gaga

"Critics also boosted their reviews towards Rainbow"

1-Did they tell you that personally over tea while reading rumor threads on GGD ?

2-Don't take this from Kesha just cause you don't appreciate her musical genius as much as others

From my point of view and I'm basing it only on the music that I enjoyed more

Praying deserves the award over MR = Praying is vocally more impressive and is lyrically more appealing, to me at least. Besides Gaga has 6 Grammys, Kesha has none and I think Praying is the highlight of her Career. Gaga's highlight was Bad Romance.

Joanne deserves the album award over Rainbow = Both are Great albums, Joanne is just more cohesive lyrically and sonically. Legit that is the only reason I believe it should win over Rainbow. If both can win, hell yea why not. I don't need to minimize an artist to make a point that another artist is superior.

You wouldn't like it if a Kesha fan made a similar thread like this about Gaga not deserving the award. Have a nice day Sir.

This is the most beautiful ruthless drag ive seen   sis, i love you

Kesha's album is actually better than Joanne. The writing is better, the melodies are less forced, the instrumentals are better.

The song "Rainbow" is one of the best songs of the last few years.

Praying, however, isn't very good.

Actually I like Gaga more as an artist but I believe that Kesha has both the better song and the better album :rip:

I don't understand how MR has a "creative production" :rip: or even "better vocals" than Praying. It's a BEAUTIFUL song but it's pretty traditional in terms of productions/lyrics/vocal style.

When I said more creative, I meant the album as a whole. And MR is traditional but it still has better vocals than Praying. Praying is actually very standard and simple up until the one high note it has.

Thank you. I literally said this same thing the other day and these kids came for me because they couldn't handle the fact that Gaga deserves both awards. I'm not a fan of handing out awards for "revenge" or for "pity" as some of these people want. Rainbow is a cute album, but not on the level of quality as Joanne, which has had much more of an impact.

Those were 18-20 years ago. That means nothing now.

If the Grammy is about VOCALS, then Gaga is a front runner over Kesha. Kesha’s album is beautiful in terms of the meaning. We can’t let her backstory blind everything that happens with Vocal ability. Are we forgetting Gaga is an assault victim as well?

Grammys are about Talent and certain categories are made for specific abilities so yes, Gaga should win for her VOCALS alone.

done.

Wrong, singing well or not has NOTHING to do with this category. The word vocal is used by the Grammies to demórate songs with words. “Best pop Vocal” means “best pop song that contains words” aka “not an instrumental piece.

Gaga being the better singer doesn’t mean she wins.

Child... if only you could read the the first word of my post. I clearly said “If” and either way my opinion will stay what it is. So many women have been assaulted and saying she “deserves” the award because of what she’s been through makes no sense. Everyone has a story. Point blank period.

Nobody is saying she deserved it for what it happened to her, Rainbow is superior, the lyrics on Rainbow are way better and more raw than the whole Joanne, i mean A-Yo (a song about having sex under a mirror celiing?) DIC (a song about masturbation?) lmao.

Lol dear lord, I’m guessing your thing on here is to be extra so I won’t take you too serious.

That’s your opinion and you can have it. Two songs off her album represent the entire vibe and theme of the album? Lol have a seat you’re trying too hard to be problematic.

Joanne is not that good, let's not go there. It's just a safer album that was doomed to get some Grammy nominations.

You're right.

But you're in GGD, I praise your effort but you should know by now it's pointless to waste your fingers writing these things. Fans around here are the least "woke" you can find.
