I almost cried when I watched Grave of the Fireflies a few years later but I held on. After Titanic I tried to contain my emotions. The scene where Babe asks Fly "can I call you Mom?" always hits me right in the heart 😭 Always reminds me of Gaga and Little Monsters because for so many of us, she became a sort of surrogate mom who loved us unconditionally for who we were.
