If Gaga was the only one not touring South America  I'd  blame her, but it's  not the only case and you know it.

I think it's  a matter of money.

You have the US/Canada: American acts will play there for sure!

Then you have Europe: a lot of cities with good arenas/stadiums to play at. The best thing about Europe is that most of the cities are pretty near so you can take a lot of profit.

Then you have Asia, OZ and Latin America: unless you do  a stadium tour and sell thousands and thousands of tickets or do an arena tour with many dates, it makes zero financial sense. Cities are so far from each other.

People also need to think intelligently.... A world tour goes where there is demand, obviously, but its size is also very much influenced by the success of the record that is being promoted. Going to some places, like Asia, Latin America and Australia, is incredibly costly, and since those are not the biggest markets for occidental acts, going there must be worth it.

Born This Way sold 6 million copies - the BTWBall went everywhere, and was arguably the most expensive show she put up.

ARTPOP sold 2,5 million, Joanne 1 million. You don't need to be Einstein to understand why the artRAVE and the JWT were planned accordingly.

Exactf*ckingly. If it was just a matter of will, they'd go to every corner of the world OBVIOUSLY.

I read some of the comments on Instagram on a few fan pages. The way people who call themselves "fans" are dragging Gaga and her team is so sad.

I feel really bad for Gaga, Bobby, DJWS and all of the people involved because it's really sad to see the messages they receive every day, especially from the so called little monsters. I see that every day IN HERE and Twitter, it's embarrassing.

Eh, he's really rude so I'm not surprised. He only does what he deems the best interest for himself, not even Gaga at this point. Plus if he really cared about the fans then he wouldn't let certain things happen that he has let happen knowingly. I have no respect for him.

Girl what we've been trying to say is that "demand" is no excuse.

Joanne did sell way better in latin America in general than Europe if you check. Every release was platinum(in Brazil for example, and I'm pretty sure the album is platinum in argentina aswell). The tour date was the biggest: 100k and it was sold out.

Yesterday the concert from Barcelona gave away free tickets and had blocked seats. So what is the truth?.gif

But of course, Euro and Libras are still worth way more than reais\pesos or any other "coin" from the world, so even a fake sold out in Europe would outsell $$$$ South America. Music not the bling who

He could of handled it better and he does give me strange vibes in his responses  but supply & demand. I do feel for Brazil and the other Latin Americans that travelled there especially, I guess the whole 'I will make it up to you' (paraphrasing) part gave them hope

They keep clinging to "demand" like some countries down here aren't the size of just a state in the US 🤦🏻‍♀️ The access to records and stuff varies, we use to have a lot of record stores near the city I live it, now I only know one or two left, this people buy cd's on walmart and get limited editions in other stores, three of the countries that listen the most to her on spotify are down here, even before a US city. People in my country are not of a "buying records online" culture, most people don't even have credit cards, so the ones that are more a fan mostly buy physical copies, but it's never gonna reflect everyone that actually listens to her.

Sold outs there are also helped by the fact since it's so many cities in one country, some people go to multiple shows, and again, to my latin american people, have you guys seen those prices?? Compare the ticket price to the ones we gotta pay.

You get Gaga in your own city, we gotta travel from all the country to one city and some people were kids the first time she came, try convincing latino parents to help on that 😅

right sis! I'm on the edge of asking a GGD moderator if we can't create a louge for latin american community hahaha.

Her stream numbers in Latin America are the bigger ones, facebook likes and even the sales.

The whole travel thing, I think only the Asian fans would understand this tbh, how hard it is to have 1 date in your country and many times it's really on the other side of the country. Or sometimes, not even in your own country, just "next" somehow and you still needing to travel across the countinent. That's exactly what they did with RIR, only ONE date for a whole continent. There were not only people from all over Brazil, but I saw fans from Argentina, Chile, Paraguay that were coming for her. And then, the whole drama happening ONE day before the concert... of course people were damaged.

What makes me mad on GGD is the lack of empathy of some fans from USA\Europe at all. They won't really EVER understand yet still judging people. For sure, hate will NEVER be the answer, but some honest people were on Bobby's IG\Twitter and mentioned being sad over it, and for sure that was part of why he had to end up explaining himself.

Although I see why everyone is frustrated and I also can see how what he said can come off as rude.

There's a way to channel off your frustrations and sending death threats jokingly or not to the manager of the artist you want to see and the artist themselves isn't a smart choice, lol.

I think fans from Asia and Latin America got very frustrated. I am from Argentina and it is very frustrating that the last and only tour that come here was BTWB and the fact that when she came here she promised she would always tour our country. I think he could have explained a little why Gaga is not touring these continents and also, don't hate Brazilian fans, they were so excited about Rock in Rio and Gaga announced she was sick the same day, most of them took their days off of work to travel, paid a lot of money and were very frustrated and now another announcement that for about 2 years she won't be touring the world. This is no excuse to throw death threats to Bobby at all, but they could have said something about it instead of a fan having to ask them and record it.

You are not hearing me... I'm not necessarily talking about demand in specific territories, but rather demand in general for the record. Like I said, bringing tours overseas is extremely costly, and the market is pretty small: it is rarely worth it financially for a musical act to visit those territories. She did well in Latin America, ok, but let's face it, the numbers weren't necessarily more exceptional than in other places. And she sold a 100k venue that was a festival date, let's not forget that, and it was also the only date planned in Latin America, explaining why it drew such a number. People travel.

You need to understand that there are investors behind a world tour: you CAN'T expect investors to put as much money in a tour supporting an album that sold 6 million copies, than in a tour supporting an album that sold 6 times less.

I mean, you have the right to be mad, but be mad at the right people - really guys, I don't know how to say it any other way, but you need to get your heads out of your asses...... If it was only up for Gaga, you know she'd visit every corner of the world. You guys are acting like spoilt children that are being punished for no reason instead of trying to understand things - you were given brains, use it.
