It was my favorite song at the iTunes festival, I was beyond disappointed when I heard the final version
Zombiecat 16,778
The demo the 'you were in my' vocals completely butchered the chorus imo and made it sound a bit cringe
FfFfFfFF 56,085
I might like the demo version more. but I'm gonna say that I've seen a lot of people here which say they like the ARTPOP demos more than the originals, and I think this has a psychological cause. I read somewhere that we tend to love the version of a song which we heard initially because it give us a sense of familiarity. That is also why remixes were never really a thing. Sepsami 18,913
A lot of the ARTPOP demos were better This and MANiCURE are the prime examples I remember being so disappointed with the album version of MANiCURE the only extra lyric I liked was "salon's enough for ha not to feel so insecuah"
Lord Temptation 11,209
The demo is a sultry, throbbing, slutty sexxx fiend who loves it raw. I dance in circles to it almost every day This album version is too cleaned up, sanitised and bordering on bland Gosh her label really f-cked up this, Swine, Aura, Applause and MANCURE didn’t they?! EDIT: And Venus too
Head Empty 25,220
I'm mostly pressed about the Heehee's and the piano in ARTPOP Happiness will never last, darkness comes to kick your ass... ᵃˢˢ 🕺
Supersonic 49,376
Studio is a lot better, the new rewritten bridge is beautiful and the additional back up vocals are fantastic. also it cuts the song down just right, during swine fest it definitely felt too long and too formulaic

JohnWayne97 550
Of all ARTPOP's demos, the only one I prefer instead of the studio version is Aura/Burqa, and also I LOVE that Daft Punk's vibes in Fashion!'s demo
Oriane 21,116
Studio. The iTunes festival was too repetitive, it lacked these final harmonies etc. If I compare every demo/studio : - Aura/Burqa : The demo is better but I never really listened to it before Aura was released so I was not disappointed. - Sexxx Dreams : Studio. - Jewels N Drugs : Pretty much the same. - MANiCURE : At first I was disappointed by the demo but now I prefer it, the demo was very repetitive and less creative vocally. The "can you feel it can you feel it" were unnecessary though and I wish the guitar solo at the end was louder. - ARTPOP : Pretty much the same, I'm still expecting "Free my mind ARTPOP you make my heart stop" at the beginning sometimes. - Swine : The iTunes version all the way. The studio version is not that bad though. - Dope/IWBWY : Sorry but Dope is way better. - Gypsy : I wish the studio version was more acoustic, it's overproduced and we can't hear the vocals.
