Since I have an iPad and a macbook (not the last ones, though) what do you mean by battery issue? I was about to update my iPad at the latest version of iOs and my MacBook at MacOs High Sierra... do you know if by updating my devices I'll suffer from some kind of battery issue? Like drammatically low battery life or smth like that... Thanks so much in advance It came to light that updates for older apple products negatively effect performance. Most companies carefully create updates to not impact performance or battery life but Apple have admitted purposely causing older devices to slow down. They're blaming their batteries and are offering cheaper (not free) battery changes but the real issue is their ethos about older products. My advice is to never update your apple device further than the ios number that came with your device. If you were on 10, don't go further than 10.3 for example. My iPhone 7 is running on ios 11 and the battery has taken a hit and so has it's general performance. Luckily I got a battery case which makes the battery issue less apparent but the performance is definitely lacking still. I got an SE on 10.3 and have no plans to update it any further. If your systems runs unperceptible slower than before (which is normal since new features take some CPU time), a secure device should ALWAYS your #1 priority. Literally EVERYONE in my department uses Mac, so it pushed me to buy one. Plus programming C and C++ using Mac's terminal window is so much easier. I was just tired of windows tbh As far as changing to an iPhone, my Samsung S6 was becoming too slow. But now I know that Apple does the same thing, so I'm screwed.
