Economy 52,842
http://www.blogto.com/city/2017/03/tallest-skyscrapers-toronto/ As Toronto deals with an acute housing shortage as well as office space shortage and pricey land... There are now 8 Super Mega SkyScrappers under likely approval that would become the 8 largest buildings in Toronto (next to the CN Tower). The city usually has a limit around 1,000 feet but it recently stated that it is considering raising this limit or at least make several exeptions as the Space Shortage is forcing higher Density and it will strongly consider 8 proposals that it discussed with developers that take it over the city height-height limit The largest buildings are around 1,200 feet and many also have a large width as to increase the density the city reluctantly has decided may be necessairy
Economy 52,842
Oh not related to article itself but some infrustructure experts have sounded alarms that the Heavy weight of Super Tall Buildings with all the underground hollow spots from subways to underground malls and parking could cause much of the city to sink should there be an unusualy large earthquake

Americans biggest slice of pie on GGD and half of Canadians understand feet better than metres Anyway all 8 of these would be taller than the white BMO building Also for condos and office space it is super tall... While Special buildings like CN Tower or Freedom Tower in NY are taller... How tall did u expect? Were talking Condos and Office buildings. Excluding special landmark buildings like Freedom Tower, Empire State Building or that really tall building in Dubai... This is about as tall as they get WW and were talking 8 of them, The type of tallest buildings ud see in NYC, Tokyo etc NYC for instance only has 3 buildings that are taller: “Empire State Building”, “342 Park Ave” and “One World Trade Centre”. Freedom Tower is a 4th if u count it as a building

The proposed height is considered mega tall I know but just from that title I expected something closer to dubai size buildings.

I dont remember the exact height id have to search it but if ur thinking of that Dubai tallest building in the world thats probably more like 2500 feet Anyway this about as tall as regular buildings get. Even NYC which has the most SkyScappers in North America only has a handful like this... Theres 8 likely to get approved all taller than the BMO buildings. This would actually be huge PS: I did say the rough height of them in the title so how can that be misleading?
