The reason why they arent doing well in production is because they weren't ready for such a massive amount of orders. they admit to over achieving, but production is supposed to finally be on track by first quarter next year. This new roadster only has the founders price which a limited run of 1000 When the roadster is in full production the price take will drastically drop. The car will offer all-wheel drive, and it's a four-seater. This is no conventional luxury car. It has a base price of $200,000 — more than $100,000 over the base price of the Tesla Model S.
