It's so weird to hear this news tbh.

Saudi Arabia is literally next door (from the UAE) and I never knew women couldn't attend stadiums. I didn't even know y'all didn't have cinemas before :duck:

But thankfully things are changing and SA is picking up pace in progressiveness. I'm looking forward to how it'll look like years from now (as well as other Arab and Mid-Eastern countries).

Mess. :smh:

You’re all more outraged by this than child brides in America. The mocking of backwardness doesn’t apply there I guess.

To be fair Christianity brought Europe several centuries back

I'm talking about when Christianity wasn't a big thing yet

It's always like that. There was a hate crime against a Jewish girl in France and no one gave **** :rip:

Probably because this is a bigger deal. I have never once heard of child brides ever being a thing while in SA half the population is banned from attending a sports stadium because they are women.

It's so stupid when I need to call this 'a good thing' (which it really is...)

BUT COME ON

WE LIVE IN FCKING 2017!!!

It is a good thing

Saudi Arabia finally has a King that is gradually giving women more rights.

He also wants them to take a more active role in work force and hes the one that passed the law to let them drive

This King also started the “Vision 2030” for Saudi Arabia to reduce dependance on oil for its economy and also increase renewables

A society cant change overnight. But this is the first time that Country has such a forward thinking leader.

We should be cheering them on on for their progress rather than saying “u still suck” :air:

How is this bigger deal than the news about child marriages in America? Since when average American cares more about Saudi women and if they’re able to watch sports from the stadium?

You didn’t hear about it being a thing yeah, that’s why all the comments in that thread were “wow, I had no idea this is legal” and that’s it, no outrage; but when it’s similar news about non-Western country most people are mocking them and calling them backwards.

I'm not sure I understand your point? People were upset at the child marraiges in the US. You want people to be less upset by the stuff Saudi Arabia does? Yeah I guess we just shouldn't care about them. There is no minimum marraige age in SA. Meaning that actual small children can get married while in the US its mostly 16-17 year olds. I dont agree with it but its not the same thing at all. Saudi Arabia is much more backwards than the US.

This however is great nonetheless. No one can realistically expect SA to make some drastic decision like making homosexuality not a crime but at least they're developing. Slowly but surely.

Lol, so if I go to a ball game with my dad and my brother, they get to sit together on one side of the stadium while I chill with strangers in the clam jam on the other side? See me on the Jumbotron I guess, Dad :gaycat:

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3
