TheCureinMalibu 45,913 Posted October 27, 2017 Share Posted October 27, 2017 -From the begining, you can see the NEW Taylor with her robots army (re-present for the haters) and they trapped the old Taylor in cage (The cage is a reference for all of the hates this and last year) -Later then, you can see the old Taylor (in the cage) transform into a fight machine to fight back the hate... But there is no use. She was trying to be nice, hoping they will let her out (the white horse). But still, they show no mercy on her. -But then when Taylor was getting back on track thinking they've forgiven her, they snap her back again from 2:00 to 2:20. -This time, she can't take this anymore. She'll have to burst everything out and fight with all of the powers she's got. I did expect something at the end of every chorus, but it's just bland. Nonetheless, the editing is the problem plus they might've ran out of ideas lol But i love it. I just think that Taylor is trying to be a character that is not really her. This era just seems super unnatural to me...like she's being a caricature. It also seems like a lot of money being thrown at low quality music. Dressing things up in shiny things does not make the music any more enjoyable. Everyone loves to hate on the Million Reasons music video, but at least the song is fantastic. joanoflark 3,824 Posted October 27, 2017 Share Posted October 27, 2017 so deep, it goes to show how great of a director Joseph Kahn is and how great of a visionary Taylor Swift is, I have never seen any video like this one my whole entire life, so innovative and creative, and the narrative arch of the project is gut-wrenching in its display of the redemption of an artist vilified by the masses.
