The eastern countries aren't opened to give up to their autonomy that easily but at the end of the day why would they taking decisions when there are Western countries? :poot:

The zone with independent countries is kinda what's going on right now afaik. Each country will probably be a state or territory in this new big country (though I can see regions of current countries becoming their own territory in this new unified Europe).

Yeah, that's not the worst idea, but I see a lot of problems. The language, culture, politics, laws... We already have the same money but each country is very different from the other, I don't know how it will turn, and who will be the great "president" I can predict a lot of disorder and division just for that.

But at the same time It would be easier for many things too, trade, exchange, ..

I think, like all the ideas that concern a lot of people, that if everyone agrees with everyone with smart talk and real motivation, It's gonna work, but if no one agrees, it's gonna flop with a lot of fighting

culture, politics, law are not really a problem because they are already similar. About languages, well there are enough countries where there are several languages in one country (Switzerland, India, South Africa etc.)

Europe wont ever achieve smth like this :awkney:

I would really love for it to happen and I am for it.

But europe has too many racists :awkney:

You’ll say america has racists too, but at least they all speak the same language and dont have this much cultural differences.

Europe has racists that are racist to other fellow european countries :awkney:

Well politics and laws change from one country to another (for examples the legal working time, you can work longer in Portugal than in France)

But I do think that for the languages it would be great to be able to talk more than 2 languages, even for the kids it would be good to teach them languages and open their mind to others cultures. I would love to learn this

This sounds interesting, but also very frightening if you ask me :omg: Not about the political aspect of this, but just the thought of something so big changing which you have been used to since you're born.

I mean I think even that wouldn't be a big problem. I mean the EU states could still have different laws, it doesn't need to be centralized. US states also have different laws from each other! I don't know also about working age, but I think those are rather minor problems
