Silver Linings Playbook - 10/10

One of the best films I've seen in a long time. Just absolutely captivating. Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence's chemistry is electric, no wonder they are already doing 2 more movies together. The story is serious yet also funny.

Jennifer Lawrence's Oscar win for this is very well deserved.

Taken 2 - 7/10

While I didn't expect this to be as good as the original Taken... I felt like this movie was sort of making fun of itself throughout the story. Also, it was sort of boring compared to the first, but the action is still top-notch in the end so there's a plus. I also loved the setting of the movie this time around. Overall, it is a good rental flick but it does have its fair share of problems.

Oz The Great and Powerful - 9/10

I dare anybody who loves the original to not like this movie.

China Girl is a great character and unbelievably adorable.

The - 1 point is for Mila Kunis.

Antidote

Maniac (the new one with Elijah Wood):

I'm a huge fan of movies like Saw, Friday 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre etc., so I was skeptic because I thought this movie might be too serious.

But it's a great movie, really captivating.

It is filmed from his perspective, like you would see everything through his eyes (like an egoshooter, so just how I like it :derpga: )

Raising Helen (2004) - Starring Kate Hudson, John Corbett, Joan Cusack, Felicity Huffman, Hayden Panettiere, Spencer Breslin, Abigail Breslin, and Helen Mirren.

7/10

This is no Oscar-winning film, but I still enjoyed it for what it is, a laid-back comedy that doesn't try to be anything else. It's still enjoyable and fun to watch, while Kate Hudson does a good job of carrying the film for a full 2 hours as the leading role, despite the cast being quite large.

The story of the film is a young woman named Helen who's career in fashion is just starting to take off is left devastated after her sister dies, and is further shocked when she finds out that the children of her sister have been left in her care. She must learn how to raise children and try to keep her career afloat all while battling her other sister's jealousy at not being left as the children's guardian.
