Just got home from the polling station. So many old people. But not like old, old, more in the spawn of of 55-69. Very little young adults as usual. I hope they'll all go to the polling station later, I went pretty early.

More than half of the people who are allowed to vote are 52 years old, or even older.

Every third person is 60 years or older.

Spoiler

Luckily for you I can't vote yet since I'm ALMOST 18 :awkney:

And I don't want to start this discussion again, because I know I'm probably alone here with this and I'm not gonna change someones mind, like no one is gonna change mine so quickly...

Just wanna say before someone uninformed says that I'm homophobe and racist: No  And I'm NOT completley agreeing with the AfD. But more than with the others.

And it's not very democratic what currently happens in the media. The AfD obeys the law and it's not the only party with some weird and provoking people in it. Don't set it on the same level as the NPD.

Scary as heck. I felt especially this year everything was geared to the wants and needs of retired and soon to be retired people, no party REALLY provided any plan for children, teenagers and young adults in Germany. Even though we ARE the future, we're not that important. We're getting outnumbered by annoying old people that complain about their lives being a tiny bit less comfortable because they're exposed to new things on TV.

I'm especially disappointed by the Greens because they really dumbed themselves down in order to gain appeal again. I used to feel like they were the only ones who cared about young people but this year especially it was the old people party all year round. No notable efforts to change really anything about education, universities or public health issues. :noparty:

With this amount of problematic people (http://www.tagesspiegel.de/berlin/wahl-zum-berliner-abgeordnetenhaus-diese-afd-politiker-sitzen-bald-im-parlament/14564924.html) and the amount of messiness, yup - they sure are asking for press #covfefe. Actually when you look into it, it is all they hope for. There have been already science papers in media studies suggesting that it is the goal of far-right parties to say things that are problematic and troubling, going further and further until they are ultimately criticised by press, so they can say: SEE? IS THIS WHAT FREE SPEECH LOOKS LIKE?? I'm sorry, but saying something along the lines of: Germany shall be proud again of Nazi-soldiers - they sure do it deliberatly and no one will convince me otherwise. And sadly it has worked rather well for them. Welp...

But yeah, agree to disagree and we shall not get too far into this - it's such a distressing discussion. Everyone shall vote for what they want (except you, cause - you can't :bon:).

Omg yes! I'm part of the GJ and we are all not too fond what the Altgrünen are doing. I really hope that we don't get into the government and the Greens figure out that the way they are doing politics now is not the way they should be.

At my place where only young people! I was surprised! But probably because students make a huge percentage of my city, but nevertheless!

That's why I voted for die Linke this year :laughga: Even if they are a bit messy, they have their hearts at the rights places and are like.... the more radical twin sister of the Greens.
