I doubt he's broke at all; just cheap and found a way to not have to spend personal wealth lol It isn't like he's known as a paradigm of moral virtue so I'm not all that surprised if this is the case.

But that wouldn't necessarily affect his personal wealth. Plus, debt is used by businesses to source funds for expensive investments which in the line of real estate makes sense. His companies could very well not totally be on the rocks and just owe money to banks like many companies do.

I'm just speculating, though, as it would take awhile to look at his companies' tax filings and I don't care to do so lol
