Can I just share how much I am devasted, or is that a problem? It's okay that you share your frustration. I think some people were annoyed by the focus you put on the commercial side or Gaga's reputation when we all are just too worried about her health. It's not against you
Illuminati 15,921
I get that people wasted a lot of money to see her, I would be frustrated too especially if i had to book a flight etc. But this is just not the time to openly complain. We get it, this sucks. Gaga understands that too. I'm sure that when she backs out of such a large event she's bound to pay for breaking the contract too. artlover 97
I personally think it was really disrespectful of Gaga despite her injuries and all that hip issues. She's been talking this pain for a couple of days (I guess it had crossed my mind since the other cancels) and she should have been responsible enough to cancel at least three or four days before the actual concert. Here in Brazil there's a culture of being in front of the arena/stadium for days, weeks and even months along. It would justify the refund I guess
Glamourpuss 29,062
I understand how you're feeling hun even if others don't. You've spent money you couldn't afford to spare on something special and it's been cancelled after months of excitement. I feel bad for all you Brazilian monsters. I can empathise. It doesn't mean I don't care about Gaga because I can feel sorry for the Brazilian fans. It's bad for both sides. Obviously it's not Gaga's fault but that doesn't mean there aren't going to be a lot of disappointed fans. It's just unfortunate that it's happened to Brazil of all places. You deserve to vent your frustrations.
TheAlienatedNYC 619
Did I ever told her to kill herself? If I didn't, then you can save all of this hate for yourselves tho. And I am with Gaga in her disease, to be clear. I'm just devasted cause even if she wants to come back soon, this isn't on her and there is nothing she can do about it unless wait. And we are waiting too, for too long actually.

As a Brazilian Little Monster, I know the other side of the story. Since the show was announced back in february, I've seen many Little Monsters cheering about it and about the tickets they bought. And I've seen also many Little Monsters complaining that this was the only show here (or any near here) in FIVE years. Anyway, they bought the ticket for 4 shows (when all they wanted was ONE), bought airplane passages to get to Rio (cause Brazil is a LARGE country), wasting a lot of money with it and hotel and food. They were happy anyway. I don't mean to sound intolerant about Gaga's health, but I guess, we missed something really big this time. When she came here for the first (and only) time, she did 3 shows in Brazil. None of them sold out and her and us were target of mockeries by all the country, that think her and her fans are ridiculous and that we don't even have money to sell out a concert of our favorite artist. The biggest joke of it all was that she marked a show in a parking lot for 30k people and didn't sell out too. Everybody knew it was a failure. Five years after, after a campaign on twitter to bring her back to brazil at Rock In Rio, we did it. She was on the lineup along with other 3 irrelevant artists for Brazilian public (now it is four). We did all we could to make it sold out this time and we didn't make it, and again, reason of jokes. But I've seen how much some fans suffered to get there and recieve the news. Minutes ago, I saw in many groups on facebook a screenshot of a girl saying she had recieved donations to get her ticket and was selling soda cans for recycling to buy her passage and pay her hotel. That's not one of a kind here in Brazil. This is the reality of most of all the population who lives in the north and northeast of the country, and my case too, if I wanted to see her, that's what I should have done cause I have nowhere to get money (but I didn't cause I have school tests and **** + this is my last year, I couldn't miss it). I guess no one of you know what does this all means... Well, let me tell you now: 1 - No, Gaga is not coming back anytime in a near future. She NEVER sold out a show in here or latin america (except Monster Ball in Mexico, when the tickets were cheap enough) and no one wants to call her back with the risk of the concert itself being target of jokes by social media or even the risk of her cancelling again; 2 - Her image in Brazil now is more burnt than ever; 3 - Rock In Rio would NEVER call her back, cause she is giving them loss because of tickets refunds (which was not necessary, but in respect, RiR is giving). So, this is what this cancellation means. I don't really know how to scape from this tough reality, maybe if somewhere in a near future (near than 15 or 10 years), she'd come back here for a free concert. Maybe for charity. Unless this, it sounds more like a goodbye for the dream of all of Brazilian fans. Thanks for the attention. Sorry for the broken english. Lots of love to Gaga. thank you for sharing all that. I now understand better the type of anguish some of her dedicated brazilian fans could be feeling. you seem mature about it, tho, and I think your idea, given everything you said, to try to petition for a benefit or free concert is a constructive way to try and channel your frustration. I wish you luck and hope you can succeed in moving past all these fears because, in the end, if she wants to play rio or another part of Brazil she'll do just that wether or not it is likely to sell out. I don't think you were insensitive in your post. the financial element of touring and the economic situation in Brazil are not things most people here understand at all. Jacob Marley 538
Honestly I agree with a lot of what you said - actually I'm holding off booking my tickets for the second NA leg because I genuinely think the tour is over. And honestly, I think you're right - I don't think she's coming back. RiR has to be fuming right now, as they'll foot the bill in the meantime before someone pays up. (Or maybe not?). Overall, I just wanted to say your frustrations are welcome. You didn't threatens her, you didn't blame her - you vented frustrations (very eloquently I might add), and you're correct on most accounts. Stay strong - we're sorry. La Rosalia 9,906
Some people here completely lack of any kind of criteria, ugh. The OP is not pissed and he did not insult Gaga or said anything insensitive. He is just venting here because, you know, this is a place for Gaga fans to interact and if he doesn't post here there's a chance that he can't vent in any other place in the same form. Yes, what happened to Gaga completely sucks, but what is happening right now to the fans completely sucks too. I was in that same situation with the Montréal show and trust me, this is more heartbreaking than it is upsetting and just as you guys want to "send kindness and compassion" to Gaga, you should do the same for the fans, specially when they are just as eloquent as he is. Nowhere in his post he is insulting Gaga.
Mister G 10,427
Ya’ll need to lighten up and loosen up and calm down. Do you want her to break her hip on stage again? Do you want her to fall flat on her face and break an ankle while doing that? Do you want her to pass out from exhaustion and have to be escorted to hospital right away? Seriously, how many more of these threads do we need to hear about people upset and frustrated because the show is being cancelled? Again, it’s not the end of the world. She’s allowed to think about herself too ya know. It’s upsetting to hear about these things, but she’s human like the rest of us. If you were in as much pain, you wouldn’t want to be on stage struggling either. Ultimately, you know the risks when you buy tickets for flights and concerts. Some people don’t read the fineprint and that’s a problem. Cancellations are possible; I guess some fans only care about seeing the show rather than Gaga making a full recovery.
