Stephen 30,423 Posted September 14, 2017 Share Posted September 14, 2017 Genuine question. Gaga's getting a lot of love right now but also a lot of nasty and cruel messages from disappointed fans. While I understand their frustration, I'm wondering - are other fanbases like this? I could be wrong but I just can't imagine the fans of any other artist being so cruel to their supposed hero/queen? I feel like other artists - if they cancelled due to severe pain - would just get unconditional love and support from their fans, where as a large portion of monsters are very entitled and cruel to her. Why is this? It makes me sad because she doesn't deserve this. She's so pure and loving. Be disappointed but why would you say mean things? Why not be empathetic? It's very confusing to me. We love her and want the best for her at all times and we understand that she's human and has needs and wants. But then other artists only are popular because of 8 year olds who keep watching their untalented videos on their parent's phones. Paulina Rubio hasn't released a new album since 2011 so you can only imagine how many fans got tired of waiting for her to comeback after all the fake promises she made. I actually think we're very loving and compassionate. I think it's worse for artists who are negative themselves, or in some music communities (metal, rap...). She's en severe pain, she's hospitalized - this is not just an all out of sudden thing. She's been dealing with pain (both physical and mental) for a long while, even when we thought she was happy. I get it, they (fans) got their show cancelled, which sucks, but the fact that they can't understand why, it is just leaving me speechless. How can you be so cruel, towards a human being, who everyday gives so much to others? It is when these things happens, that I start to look down on this fanbase. ****ing shame on those who can't see how serious this is. I could go on, but no negativity on this site. Other fan sites may also have many negative people, but this is a Gaga site, and Gaga is all about positivity, love, kindness, caring, compassion, and tolerance. Spreading these positive messages and helping others means everything to Gaga. Her positive sentiments should be returned to her always. I live outside the space time continuum. juju 18,907 Posted September 14, 2017 Share Posted September 14, 2017 Monsters really are just all over the place in terms of understanding, experience, compassion, etc. There is no barometer for Lady Gaga's fans, at all. Generalizing us would be futile, as plenty will contradict your opinions. But, regardless, there are better ways to handle one's disappointments. Clearly, she's suffering through a lot, perhaps why those moments of the documentary have been highlighted and teased. Still, she is only human. Would much rather her take care of herself than pander to fans and suffer through a performance.
