My JWT Experience

I went to the Joanne World Tour in Philadelphia last night (September 11) with a friend. We didn't get to leave my house until 7:30 when the show was actually supposed to start but I knew we'd have time because you know, it's Gaga :selena: We took the subway down to the Wells Fargo Center and there were several people who were definitely going to the concert. I didn't get too dressed up (just a pink t-shirt, some jeans, and white shoes) but there were people who went all out which I thought was so cool! This was my first big concert (Gaga or otherwise) so it was amazing to see so many people there for her. I'm used to crowds as a sports fan, but this was much different -- everyone was so friendly and accommodating!

While waiting for the show to start I posted something on my Snap story and like 5 guys I know (all hunties of course) said "I'm here too" and I would like to thank Gaga for hosting the Philly Gay Convention 2017 :laughga: Truly an experience.

The show didn't actually start until around 9pm (so 90 minutes late :reductive:) but it was worth every second of the wait. I literally, literally, screamed every word of every song (well, almost). I have a newfound appreciation for Joanne (the song) as well as LoveGame, two songs that were always "eh" to me. Hearing them live was amazing and the story of Joanne gets me every time. :tony:

My favorite songs (A-Yo, Born This Way) were given ample attention. I just wish that she had squeezed Yoü and I in there between Come to Mama and The Edge of Glory -- it would fit in perfectly with the show, and because she cut the red section (Bloody Mary, Dancin' in Circles, Paparazzi) there would have been enough time I feel. My seats were WAY up and to the left of the stage so there were times that I couldn't see her because there were speakers in the way, but I just sang along anyway.

My favorite part of the show were surprisingly Joanne and The Cure. I expected it to be Born This Way/Come to Mama/The Edge of Glory but I think I was so prepared for those that I knew what was going to happen exactly. Joanne was so beautiful and The Cure was so much fun live.

After Bad Romance, Gaga read a letter from an audience member about his story of coming out and his family member who has lupus. He said that it was his dream to design a dress for Gaga, and when she hugged him he literally LOST IT and so did I :icega: It was honestly so amazing to see her message of love and acceptance being spread.

As for march, I dropped $25 on a poster (TOTALLY WORTH IT) and $40 on a t shirt (less worth it but it's nice regardless). I'm just broke now :ladyhaha: but I'm glad I got keepsakes from the best night of my life! And lots of videos and pictures, below:

Been a long time but I'm back in town, and this time I'm not leaving without you
